Just today one of my most wanted G1 TF's showed up in the mail - TRYPTICON. I won him for what I think is a pretty good price on ebay - see the auction here. He came without any accessories and I didn't know if the electronics would still work, so I quickly went down the shops and got him so new batteries. Behold - he walks!

I just wanted to say that he is totally sweet! He walks and makes lots of noise and he has plenty of guns. Also, he's pretty big! The base mode is kinda cool too I guess. Now I've just got to track down all his accessories... so I guess that'll keep me entertained for the next few years.

Who else thinks Trypticon is wicked-sweet?

I certainly do, but I don't have him yet. He's near the top of my short list.

I've never seen video of him walking, so thanks! Looks like he'll dust Omega Supreme. (I just got an Omega at BotCon. He's awesome, but he's not going to get anywhere fast. I actually has no idea Omega's feet moved during walking before I got him -- I thought he just rolled. Deefuzz made a video of him at BC, BTW.)

I'm a big fan of Trypticon, even though I don't have him. I once had the Gigastorm mold once, but it left in the mass exodus. I will have Trypticon one day!

I got a fairly complete Omega earlier in the year (missing the train tracks) but the electronics don't seem to work - still gotta crack him open and try to fix him. Trypticon's walking feature is pretty cool, the moving arms are a nice touch.

I wish I would have known 15 years ago that I would be trying to replace the toys I so easily donated when I was in highschool. I remember Trypticon was one of my favorites, even favoring him over Metroplex. I also had an Omega Supreme and tons of other figs in great condition. They are all gone now.

I love chasing my cats with Trypticon & Gigastorm. It is so weird to watch.

I never had Trypticon originally but I just recently got Gigastorm complete with instructions for $30. I've wanted him since I learned of his existence a few years ago. He's certainly a striking piece and his lack of odds and ends is a plus in my book. I'm glad to hear you've got one and that you're enjoying him, good luck with the parts hunting. I hear Full-Tilt's gun is the harder piece to get.

I've got both a Trypticon complete and Gigastorm complete and both of them are without a doubt 2 of the coolest toys made. They would take out ole' Omega in a heart beat.

I've got all of the battery powered tfs, and I set them up for a race one time in my kitchen. I can't remember which one was fastest, but I know sky lynx was the slowest.

Sky lynx is slower than Omega??? I didn't know that was possible.

That video of him walking looks like a still frame!

Trypticon looks like he's had one to many sherry's at the office Christmas party.

I have the Trypticon for the longest time but I never bothered to see if he can still walk. I may take mine out soon and see if anything works.

My parents gave me Trypticon for xmas when I was kid, I still remember how cool the city mode was with the light on in the dark. I eventually traded that Trypticon 3 years to some comic shop in the worst lopsided deal you could ever imagine when I wasn't aware that old Transformers had any value. I finally bought it back (the very same one) over a year later. Great shape with functional electronics and stuff. I love it.

If I can ever get my Omega working I'll race him against Trypticon. If by some miracle I ever get a Sky Lynx (I highly doubt it as he seems to be one of the hardest to find and most expensive US released G1) he can join in too.

Also, Trypticon is still great. I can't wait to get him home and put him next to Metroplex.
