I remember several years ago watching a really well put together animated Transformers series, but I can't remember what it was called. It didn't have the G1 charm, but the CG was incredible and I kept wishing they would redo G1 series in this new style of animation.
I think Megatron was some sort of huge killer monster, but can't recall exactly what.
All I really remember was how good the animation was. Anybody have any idea what I'm talking about? Without a name, I'm not sure I can do a proper search for it.

But if you all know what I'm talking about, how awesome would it be to see G1 done this way?

Could it have been Cybertron? Or maybe one of the Beast Wars series (not II or Neo)?

    RID is Robots in Disguise.

Beast Wars is sounding more familiar. I don't recall the other ones. I'll have to do a search on Beast Wars and see if that was it.

Then it's most likely to be Beast Wars, if it seems more familiar.

Megatron was huge, and I think his tail became one of his claws or something like that.
Sorry I don't remember much detail, all I was really impressed with was the animation.

Go on TFWiki.net and have a look around at the cartoons, you'll find it eventually

Beast Wars Megatron. If the toys are evidence of anything, his hands were formed from the head and the tail of a purple T-Rex (rumored to have been scanned from one of Barney's distant relatives)

I'll see what I can find on YouTube. I'm sure some of the episodes have been uploaded there.
Well, it certainly wasn't RID. But it's a toss up between Beast Machines and Beast Wars both seem to be the same to me anyway. :D

Beast machines is a sequel to Beast wars so they should seem some what the same.

Megatron alt modes in those series were: T-rex, mechanical roller skating T-Rex ( his transmetal form) , Dragon * his transmetal 2 form) in beast machines he was still a Dragon and a floating head thingy I think I haven't watched the whole beast machines just yet
