Hey there, Im just asking for help in trying to ID a name of a cartoon show I used to love watching.

It had something like Humans who were paired with small robots who would become larger robots and battle in an arena. An attack I would remember would go something like this

    Kid: Use the *Name* Cannon!
    Robot: *Name* Cannon!
    Kid: And fire!
    Robot: Fire!
(That would usually be the main finisher move)

They also fought with sword, which usually retain the same name as the name from the cannon. *Name* Sword!

There was also a main force of badguys who were just robots themselves without partners.

The robots could also combine with eachother, specifically one episode where the main leader of the badguys combines with the main good guy's giant robot to form some sort of powerful cannon

I think they had a line of figures, but I dont remember them having any.

If someone can ID this show, it would mean a lot to me

    EDIT: Its not Medabots

Good luck with that. A search through Yahoo Auctions turns up NOTHING. Man. This series is rare as hell. And the stuff that are on ebay are quite expensive. Its a shame this series didnt get over to the UK :( .

Alright now I gotta track down that Daigunder soundtrack

The Japanese theme has a way better theme than the English opening, but alas, the English theme will always be great to remember

I'd never heard of this series before, but I love how I knew exactly who did the theme song from the first seconds of it! May he never fail to make mecha anime 1000% more badass with his OPs.
