Hi, I've been a fan of Radicosn for about 6 months now and decided that I should have a crack at making my own figures better. As a man from the UK, I have no access to the popular Testors paints that I find so many of you using, so I had to make do.

Story behind this is that I never wanted Classics Prime, I wanted Henkei. The only reason I got this version was because I got him with Ultra Magnus, the second part to make my City Commander possible (yey). To be honest, the Henkei one isn't perfect to my taste, so there I was sitting down and repainting my toy, for better or for worse.

This is what I have come up with. Still a few rough patches here and there, but in the next week I hope to clear it up.

I would really appreciate feedback. Thank You

he needs to have a small amount of yellow on his forearms if you're going for his cartoon look, my man. You did a good job matching the reds on his upper arm, nice job.

thx for the comment, your opinion means so much.

But, I have had a look at the forearms from quite a few angles and can not see any yellow...

I like it. I also haven't seen any yellows on the arm in the G1 cartoon. I kept mine red.

Interesting. Lookin in the screencaps gallery, I see nothing to refute that, so I want to know why the heck there's yellow on the MP's arms now! :lol  Sure, those details are there in the 'toon, but they aren't colored in.

You should paint the gray / silver / white strip in alt mode, and paint the
headlights too, he has those in the cartoon. And I know the stacks in his
toon version are grey / white, but his rifle is black. You could paint the
handle or the whole back part of the gun black and leave the barrel and the
slotted part white, and paint inside the slots.

otherwise a good job for your first repaint.

thx, I will be painting the headlights but I am going for the most cartoon accurate thing I can get, so the stripes are a no go. The smokestacks being white was a decision made early when I decided that that gun was a shotgun, while his sunroof was his rifle, and unfortunatley you can only do so much with that.

But, just a question to all you guys, what do you think about me cutting up the smokestacks and making them be able to stick onto his shoulders? With the Gear of War 2 set including a new rifle, he'd have too much weaponary.

As mentioned really nice cartoon accurate paint job.

I'm assuming the smokestacks/guns are unpainted? Or just primed? You aren't going to leave them white, are you?

Actually they repainted white straight from the base silver and black scheme. and no, the small indents are going to be painted black
