I'm considering picking this figure up but I really do not like that white face. Has anybody painted his face silver with a Sharpe like many people did with Universe Ironhide? Thanx!

I haven't but I'm pretty sure it would be easy to do.

Even if you are bugged by the face, it's still definitely worth getting. Just watch out for the sliding leg problem.

FYI he's not a TRU exclusive or anything (that's what I am getting from the thread title) though at this point you are at least most likely to find him at TRU.

I'm pretty sure that the TRU in the thread title stands for Transforers Universe

    Makes sense.

Just like the guy who once abbreviated "Hasbo Toy Shop" as "HBS".

Could be I guess. It'd be redundant though. Wonder if one stops by the ATM machine on the way to the store? :p

    Ebay:
    On topic, GET HIM.
You'll flog yourself later for missing the best paint app for the mold (ok, that's IMO).
What a load of suck to have to buy a loose Springer from that Springer/Ratbat 2 pack when you Had Blades available for so long.

I haven't touched mine because unless there's something that just bothers me to an obsessive level, i live with it. and Blades looks great all around to me.

Silver? G1 Blades's face was blue so that's the color I painted mine. Of course, I also painted the helmet white.

I personally like the Evac color scheme for this mold best. :)

Blades has always seemed just a bit too red.
And Energon Bulkhead is my classics Springer, the copter mode is more... I dunno, macho I guess.

I'm hazarding a guess since I don't have the mold, but just about all the figures in that size range have a screw in back of their head which makes the head easy to remove which makes painting the face a breeze.
