Somehow I can't see Ultimate Bumblebee being the next cabbage patch kid (did I date myself there?) just because there's tons of them sitting on shelves. To be safe, if you think your someone wants one, just go get it now...

The only way that thing will have good sales is if it's 50% off.

Bought Ultimate Bumblebee today... wow... never realised how big..... and heavy this Transformer is. But boy oh boy is it cool. Sounds and effects are in great quality too.... plus I bought, seeing the Master Chief image in this Topic, Halo 3. And boooooooooy is it good. Thank god it's weekend.

I'm my someone and I think I don't want it. My nephew might want one but I think he'd have more fun with the deluxe. At least he can sneak THAT to school in his backpack like I did with my Bumblebee when I was nine.

My someone already got mine a while back and I gotta say My son goes nuts when we play with it in car mode, what with the engine revving and braking sounds. In bot mode the wings going up and down, eyes lighting up, yeah, he loves it. He's only 1 1/2 so I can't let him be alone with it. My brothers kid is 8 and wants one desperately too.

If they sell nationally like they do in my area then TRU could be right. They stock them usually 4-8 at a time and they are sold in a day or two tops. Target and Walmart usually stock 2-4 and same thing, bye-bye fast. So while an adult might rather have another Masterpiece Transformer, kiddies sure do love the UBB.

They could be right. Like Otispq said, around here, they don't last long on the shelves at all. They are usually gone the same day they are stocked.

This is hilarious. Not only to Walmarts and Targets have LOADS of these things everywhere, I'm sure TRU will be selling it for more than them as well. Hot seller? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Sell it for $20 TRU, then maybe I'll consider buying it.

Very FEW parents will be shelling out $80 for that thing for their kid. Put money on the Wii and Xbox 360 as stocking stuffers. And who puts things on that "hot" list? Take a wild guess marketing dollars talk to retail and distribution. "Tickle Me Bumblebee!"

    My daughter loves these things

These are kind of cool, we got one for my daughter and you are able to register and name a real star.

And yeah I don't think Ult BB is the next TMX by any means.

This seems more like a scheme to artifically boost sales by listing a bunch of toys that will probably be hot selling items, then include a couple (like Ult BB) that aren't.

To me other than the lights and sounds, it's no more special than a deluxe.

Sure smells like it to me.

I haven't seen evidence that these are moving at any of the stores in my area, either. Granted, that may change when Xmas shopping season really gets underway. At $80 ($90 at TRU), though, I have some trouble believing it'll move all that fast.
