Does anyone feel that Hasbro didn't learn from their lesson?

I went to 3 TRU, 1 target, and 1 walmart yesterday.

I found 1 Sentinel Prime which I took, and on EACH of the TRU, there were 10 Leader Bee's sitting there. Checking the back, the employees told me they didn't have any more leaders in the back that's not opened.

The same goes for deluxe bees, with a pop of Roadbuster and Barriage here and there. But, I have a feeling these will be extremely hard to move. I don't understand Hasbro. Bee is popular character, but this is way overload on the first wave.

Bumblebee and Prime are both massively overstocked for the first few waves in every size class. Get used to it.

    Wave 1:
    Cyberverse - 3 Bumblebees from a case of 8
Cyberverse Commanders - 3 Primes out of a case of 6
Cyberverse Playsets - 3 Bumblebees out of a case of 4
Human Alliance - 3 Bumblebees out of a case of 4
Deluxes - 3 Bumblebees out of a case of 8
Voyagers - 2 Primes out of a case of 4

    Wave 2:
Cyberverse - 2 Bumblebees out of a case of 8
Cyberverse Commanders - 2 Primes out of a case of 6
Cyberverse Playsets - 2 Primes out of a case of 4
Human Alliance - 3 Bumblebees out of a case of 4
Deluxes - 2 Bumblebees out of a case of 8
Voyagers - 2 Primes out of a case of 4

Maybe, but don't forget the toys have only been officially out for one day.

The people rushing to the stores on a Monday to get the toys are -probably- mostly collectors, who just don't have much interest in Bumblebees anymore.

I've got the feeling those Bees will move as well. Maybe after a week, maybe when the movie is released, but they will move.

hm, I am hoping you are right. I mean, I am fearing the mudflap situation. I can see the deluxe may more quickly, but we have 2 leader waves' worth of Bee. And they are 45$ a pc. Parents won't pay for them unless its a special occasion like Birthdays/Christmas, etc.

It was funny when I saw that TRU had 8 Bumblebees around a Sentinel Prime. Had to quickly go grab it since someone else was about to get him.

The deluxe Bumble Bee is a horrible figure with no paint apps. Hasbro releases tons of Bumble Bees because the kids love him.

At my WM there was about 18 LC bb's but there was at least 14 LC SP's to go with him, honestly my local WM may have gotten in more dotm toys than I've ever seen any TF's at a walmart anywhere.
Only a good TRU fully stocked could compete, I'm talking damn near an entire full aisle of TF toys, easily over 100 deluxes (at least 20 bb's) and 50 voyagers (68% of those all primes) to boot.
Oh a a huge special section for a ton of (20 to 30) cometor primes hidden in a different toy aisle.

In my WM they cleared all the stock out of a home-ec aisle and almost completely devoted it to DOTM toys.

    It was GLORIOUS.

I was thinking the same thing last night when as I went around to the various TRU/Target/Walmarts in my area. The real test will be when the movie opens and what figures are still clogging the shelf.

HA Bumblebee was painted by Stevie Wonder.

They had about 30 leader class figures stocked at EYE level. Usually leader class figures are stocked on the bottom shelves where kids, and do, can kick them.

I did see the HA bees as well, but they weren't nearly as clogged as the deluxe and leader piles. The deluxe I am not too worried about since its a small price tag and kids can easily beg parents to submission for a 15 bucks toy. The leader though, is a diff story.

it may have few paint apps. but the figure itself is a huge improvement over battle blades bumblebee

It's funny, I went through and determined what BB's I have from the movie... Movie 1: 76 Bee, and CC Bee. ROTF: HA. I mean, maybe they just got it right the first time through.

Considering BBBB was/is the best deluxe representation of movie BB I have, I have to disagree.

Having said that its not like I have the new DOTM MT BB, so its not like my opion has any validity. My concern about this line isn't the overstock of Prime and Bumblebees, but in the UK its the cost, they've been massively marked up from ROTF/Generations and actually, don't seem to be well stocked anywhere I've seen. :(

My son loves him, his friends in Preschool love him, the fact that the t-shirts and other non toy items either feature Optimus or Bumblebee is an indication.

Marked up? And you guys already pay too much!

If anyone needs to learn a lesson, might be the retailers rather than Hasbro.
