And what a bargain it is! Not...
Well now I know why I wasn't able to find one. I'd rather pay $45 a piece from individual sellers than buy a set of 6 at $54.
Must be nice to work in the stock room at TRU.
I'm getting really sick of so many assholes jumping on this whole "the movie is coming, prices will go up" bandwagon. Yiou know what? I bet they won't! I HOPE they won't and dicks like him get stuck with crap (or at the very least the price will stay the same). I even run into this mentality with local sellers who are now hoarding their TF stuff when before they gave me good deals. "The movie is coming, the movie is coming!" *ugh
scalping piece of shit...
But seriously I hate that too.
My friend always asks me, why didn't I buy them all and sell them on eBay at profit, and my reply is, I only get what I need and I leave the rest for the other collectors like myself....but looks like this person got them before they even hit the shelf....
An even better one I saw..Someone had an Energon Hotshot, listed "Very rare HTF Hotshot from upcoming movie" etc..It's kinda awful. But there will always be some sucker out there for it..
I can't get over how lucky I am....I just happened to be at 2 different Toys R Us' when they had 6 out at each. I even opened mine, so take that scalpers!
Ugh, that is such a scummy thing to do.
Probably more like steal from the storeroom at TRU.
Yea, what a scumbag.
I know what you mean:
Sure it's rare, but you can pick it up for $50 retail here if you looked hard enough.
What I don't get is if demand is sure to grow due to the movie, then why the hell sell these things that are going to be worth more than gold now?
I would have to agree. How many stock boys at department stores have enough cash lying around to purchase six cases of TF's, or are someone who would actually be issued a credit card? Not to mention that this guy has had 6 auctions for a single sealed Soundwave...
"Rare, rare, rare! Buy, buy, buy!" Psh, yeah right. All scalpers need to die.
Well, it is rare.
Of course, only because the scalpers made it that way.
I wish I'd run into those bastards in stores more often. I took my TRU reissue Rodimus Major out of a scalper's shopping cart who had about 12 of the damn things in there. he was walking away from the aisle with the cart, I shoved the cart to a stop, snatched one out of it, and checked out.
only time I have ever seen that figure in a store too. I have a feeling this same method will probably be how I get a soundwave too.
LMAO! I have never wittnessed a scalper in action. But oh the fun I will have if I catch one with the movie stuff.
