Does anyone know where I could still get the G1 reissue soundave? I was looking around on both TRU and HTS and didnt see him on either one. I would prefer to avoid(what to me is) the hassle of ebay. I would prefer an actually retailer.

its way too late to get him from TRU. I don't think he's been released in Canada yet, so some more should show up at online stores whenever that happens.

TRU was said to get a shipment of 5,000 more next month. I myself have never even seen him in my local TRU's. No shelf tags, no nothing.

There was talk from TRU employees who are members here of another wave of TRU Soundwave, half the size of the last. Should be later this summer. (edit: see Shin's post above.)

And in August there will be a Takara Soundwave released, as part of the Encore line. Unknown at this point whether it is the one or two-tape door as well as which tapes will come with him.

It's the single tape door with Lazerbeak. At least, that's what I can gather from the images. The TRU soundwave is bigger and has 2 tapes. Forget the more expensive encore version and the lame mp3 cassette thing and go with the reissue.

The notes on those say some mold changes. We may be seeing stock photos, but who knows.

As for the TRU reissue, Digital Toys still has it in stock. I ordered one from Mike in December and have no complaints. May be worth the extra $15 to guarantee you get one. Especially since I NEVER saw it at retail, I feel like very few have. He is definite must buy IMO.

The images with the Encore are placeholders, reused from the TFC reissue. I expect all the Encores to be different from previous Takara reissues and most likely superior to the Hasbro ones. I'll likely get both as I already have three unique versions of G1 Soundwave and like them all.

I'm so tempted to get the Encore SW, even though I have 2 TRU reissues. And strongly leaning towards OPS and MEGs for that price. Even if I keep them MISB, which I normally don't do .

Well, G1 reissues never fail to appreciate in value. Takara ones anyway.

It's available through Amazon, if that helps. And I never saw one in a bricks 'n' mortar store, either.
