Daft Punk front to back. Ordered direct from TronSoundtrack.com a couple weeks ago, got the download code this morning. Zip file, 320 quality MP3s, done.

Lotsa good tracks, most are short tho. Not really songs, but background music meant for a specific event, you can tell. Still good to pop on in the background or in the car when you don't want to focus on the actual music.

Love how they messed with the meta data...

Hehe, sonofa! They must be trying to get back at Daft Punk or whoever for keeping it from them pre-release. The only place you could buy or order it pre-release date online digitally was TronSoundtrack.com. So when they get rights, they say fuck it, 3.99. Just to piss folks like me off. I don't care, these guys did a great job and it's rare when people are actually deserving of cash for music anymore. So go get a beer with my 10 bucks :) .

End Titles wins for me. Followed by The game has changed and then C_L_U_.

The music is definitely nothing like the original film's score. While that had a playfulness to it, this is much darker and more dramatic. There's also some clear emotion behind it as well, not that I would expect anything less from Daft Punk. You can clearly hear their past music in it, but it's so much more refined and narrative than anything they've done before. Seriously, $3.99. You'll spend more on lunch.

Mine's on the way from Amazon. Yes, "on the way". I still like to own CDs.

Stop looking at me like that.

Glad to hear that it's pleasing Daft Punk fans. Can't wait!

I preordered it on iTunes a few weeks ago when they offered Derezzed as a single, and I've played the album almost 3 times at work today. The iTunes version has 2 tracks not on the Amazon version ("Father & Son" and "Outlands, Pt. II") and Amazon has "Sea of Simulation" as an exclusive track. Nice thing about the Amazon track is that you can buy it seperately, so now I have a 25-track album, huzzah!

A lot of it reminds me of the Nolan Batman scores.

I'm going to wait before I buy the CD. There's more tracks not available yet so I'll wait to see if there's some super-duper special multiple CD edition.

Honestly, I'd want to have all the songs they made for this film.

Got mine in CD form, but the media stuff the back cover said was meant to be on there... isn't. I'll go back later this week and see if a replacement disc has it.

Thanks for the recommendation Tony. It is AWESOME!

The song titles spoil the movie... I kind of guessed what might happen in the second movie, so not a biggy spoiler. :)

Double Disc Special Edition BABY!!! :thumbs2:

^ Yeah, I'm not going to read the song titles until I see the movie. Learned that lesson with Phantom Menace.

Is iTunes selling their exclusive tracks separately, or only as part of the album purchase?

No, they sucker you into Album Only. I still got it at Best Buy. I hunted the CD down. The cover is nice and glossy and I just want to be able to pop that into my car whenever I want. Some things get digital purchases, but others deserve CD.

I love it, especially Flynn Lives and The Game has Changed.

edit: Correction. Ituns has the extra songs for this one. They did it for Heart, but the Tron songs are all available individually.
