    Check out the Z-95 Headhunter. A precursor to the X-Wing lacking the splittable S-foils, it's even closer.

    I don't see it. Triggerhappy's guns and thrusts are more centered in the wings.

    From the picture used in the Wikipedia article, I can't tell how far away from the main body the engines are situated, they honestly look right next to the body. Like the X-wing and the Z-95.

    if the guns on an x-wing were on the inside rather than the outer wing i'd see where you were coming from. pretty cool though. agree that it's more like the Z-95 with the non splitting wings.
