Did anybody pick up the latest Dreamcast release? I haven't had much time to play it yet, but I'm liking it so far. The stand-out feature as I see it is the "capture the enemy" ability; I can't think of a shooter I've played that had a feature like that. I haven't quite figured out how to whip enemy ships around and throw them yet (I use them as shields all the time, though).

Graphically the game is on the level I'd expect for a Dreamcast release. The soundtrack is good, good enough that I almost regret not buying the limited edition to get the soundtrack. Overall, I think this will turn out to be a worthwhile addition to my shooter collection.

Nope. Trigger Heart Exelica was released last week. In a few weeks, Karous, another shooter, will be released. Last Hope, a port of a "homebrew" Neo Geo shooter, finally was released for the DC several weeks ago. I almost expect to hear that a couple more shooters might be released yet this year for the DC.

As far as I know, the Naomi arcade hardware (ie., basically a Dreamcast in a stand-up arcade cabinet) is still supported. Since the hardware is very similar, there's not much work involved in porting Naomi games over to the DC.
