For Chanukah this year I asked my Grandma to get my a Device Label Ravage. However instead of ordering it through the link to BBTS I sent she went to Amazon & accidentally bought the KO from a seller(at full price) thinking it was the real thing. I haven't opened it yet and still have all the packaging & papers. Is there anything I can do to return this and have my grandma get her money back so she can get me the correct one or am I stuck with probably cheap knock off?

with amazon...if there is proof the item was shipped and received...you are stuck with it....i do not believe amazon gives two shits if it is a KO, real, whatever...all they are focused on is if the transaction was concluded....take this as a life lesson and make sure you are in the room when your family orders stuff in the future....

In the future, just ask for money.

Asking for something specific from relatives almost always ends up failing.

That's a shame that your grandma spent her money on a KO.

    Ebay:
Sounds like what my sister does.
i give her everything she needs to get what i want for Christmas; i mean SKU#, pics, DNA samples, you stand her in front of the clerk who's holding the item and pushing it at her, and she will still come home with a bag of Beggin' Strips and Orthopedic shoes.

Always ask for cash or you handle the web surfing, get what you want and just leave the entering of CC# and addy to grandma.

Am so sorry about this foul up. just don't make grandma feel bad about it, ok?

Omg, this happens to me all the time! I also have a couple gifts on my xmas list that include links to Ebay auctions and what-not, and I bet you anything I'm going to get something completely different.

It wasn't bought from Amazon directly but from their marketplace.

Heh, when I asked for an MP Skywarp from my grandparents, I actually had them show it to me to make sure it was the right one. Because you're right, this kind of thing happens all the time w/ relatives and TFs. :lol

    This.

Just focus on the love and effort she put in to get you what you wanted, this way even a KO would become a special toy for you. :thumbs2:

This is why I buy my own Transformers. As much as I love my wife, I'd prefer she didn't buy them as gifts, especially since I generally know what I want.

I actually sent a message to the seller & he's going to refund the money and let me return the KO:)  There are two reasons I wasn't with my Grandma when she ordered it:
1.She's In Florida, I'm in NY
2.I wanted a surprise present, so I sent her a list of items I wanted(including links to them on various websites). I guess I was surprised all right.

Still, thanks for some of the advice you've all been giving me and looks like I'll have an actuall one(which I just ordered myself from BBTS) in a few weeks.
