I've wondered how in the world did optimus and sentinel get to africa and come back to america so quick. and also, laserbeak travelled from africa to america in no time too.

 

Cargo plane would be the easy answer, maybe his jet-pack trailer?

Haha so optimus was carrying sentinel while flying to Africa? And optimus and sentinel were alone too.

 

Yeah, it was just like the first Superman movie, but it was a scene cut for being too "romantic".

 

Or maybe there was absolutely nothing in the scene to suggest that it was in friggin Africa.

 

I checked Google maps, and I think there is a spot near Washington that looked like a desert.

You do know that USA is not just a funny-shaped rock in the middle of the ocean surrounded completely by water, right? And that you can drive to other countries from it?

Besides, not to be disrespectful to the land of the free, but the entire point of that scene was to show the natural beauty of Earth. Can't really do that in Washington.

This. For all we know, it still could have been in the U.S. Although, in the novel it states they were in Canada, but that's still on the same continent.

 

Laserbeak, Soundwave and Megatron all took a ride inside the Driller to get to America.

Maybe Optimus and Sentinel were in Mexico?

Lol this post made me think of that toy story scene with buzz holding woody while on the rocket  

 

Sentinel couldn't use the space bridge because the government had the pillars sealed in a vault.

 

Especially since in the novelization they went in norhtern Canada.

 

Don't you know? It's possible to drive across the sea from America to Africa. Doesn't take very long, and the journey is pleasant.
