In 1985 the Japanese show Mazinger Z was brought over to the United States as Tranzor Z.
Mazinger Z - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is my Transformers Crossover Tranzor Z.

He was made using Dark of the Moon Sideswipe. The only modifications I made to the mold were to remove a few of the parts that secure the vehicle mode's pieces together because those connections would have likely created chips in the paint thereby compromising the paint job. His head was also altered to give it a more Tranzor Z look.

I used Sideswipe for a few reasons.
1: The Sideswipe mode resembled Tranzor Z and the parts on his back made a good looking jet pack with wings like the jet pack that was introduced during the TV show.
2: The name Tranzor Z sounds like a car name like Trans Am and Z is often used at the end of car names.
3: Making him a car is a special nod to the origins of the Mazinger concept. (from Wiki - "One day, Nagai observed a traffic jam and mused to himself that the drivers in back would surely love a way to bypass the ones in front. From that thought came his ultimate inspiration: a giant robot that could be controlled from the inside, like a car.")
4: A feature of the Sideswipe mold is that the lower arms can be disconnected from the shoulder section which works for simulating Tranzor Z's special attack "Rocket Punch". The Sideswipe mold even enhanced the attack by making it possible for it to be a bladed punch.

Colors are basic: black, red, dark blue, silver and a little gold.

I am very happy with how he turned out and I absolutely love his jet pack and wings.

UPDATE (02/28/13): I finished the rest of my Transor Z group.

"Tranzoooooorrrr...Zeeeeee!" *mechanical connecting noises and brilliant flashes of light*

    Awesome dude.

'Should take a Arcee and make the robot that shoots her boobies as well.

Might use an Energon Arcee for just that. The scout size would work good, since motorcycles shouldn't be bigger than cars.

I forgot to mention a few details of the paintjob in my original post.

The Corvette emblem of the hood of the car was painted red to mimic the red crest on Tranzor Z's chest. The license plate is "-Z-" as a nod to him name. And the top on his head is painted red as a nod to the hovercraft that would dock in Tranzor Z's head in the TV show. Thought about actually incorporating a removable hovercraft into the head, but the size would be too small to be useable. So instead I made the car mode mostly red so that the car itself would be remeniscent of the hovercraft.
