Nice flat torque curve! And rather terrifying, if one stops to think about the speeds all of that extra go is available at. Careful with that beast!

Yep, and phase 2 starts this weekend. Fuel upgrades, transmission and differential work and a larger crank pulley, then back to the tuner and finally to the track!

 

That was sweet! Are the custom chips worth their price, in your opinion? I've been thinking about getting one, but am not sure they are worth it.

 

Depends on what's been done to the car and the the kind of chip. I had a "basic" chip in my '94 which only helped a little bit, but made it more fun to drive. I went to a chip with a more in-depth tune and it helped quite a bit more, when I did some engine work to that car I got a mail-order tune and that was very nice. A full Dyno tune (like the video shows on the '97) is the only way to get the maximum power out of it, but it's expensive ($500 for that plus the cost of the flashing unit) and not worth it for a car that hasn't changed much from the factory.

The '02 on the other hand I've only removed the intake restrictions and bought a flasher with "pre-loaded tunes" and while it makes it quite a bit more fun feeling, from a power standpoint it wasn't worth the expense.

So... if nothing, or not much has been done to the car a chip will change the feeling (through throttle response, a bit of timing and some shifting tweaks for automatics) but probably won't give you much more in terms of power, and stay away from the ebay "chips" that are just resistors soldered into a project box 'cause those just trick the car into running lean which will eventually cause severe engine damage.

Okay, you got me there, but here's my thinking:
Thematically, Jill Rivers is a "biker chick" type of character. That means that if and when she shows up in a photocomic (like this one), she'll most likely be portrayed as being a biker chick with a very similar personality to Ach (Or, at the very least, angry, loud, and generally not a charming girl). Yeah, I can see Estoril having a friendly rivalry with the bike sisters, but I imagine Ach and Jill as being two Shinkies that absolutely friggin' hate each other.
