Hi all, Not sure this is exactly the right place for this, but I was wondering if anyone had any dealings with TransRepro.com lately... I'd like to place an order with them but am unsure if they are still active... their site's dates and such are all a year or older, and their News page indicates some personal problems... I sent them an email asking if they were still operational and haven't gotten a response a week later, so I figured I'd ask here... Thanks for any help!
I don't believe they're still taking orders, but I'm sure there are more knowledgeable people than me who can give more info.
Transrepro is very much dead in the water. Ken, the guy who ran it, had a series of strokes and can't work.
Hmmm... guess it must have gotten worse after the last news post... that just stinks (both for Ken and me)... I woulda really liked a Windcharger barrel and the custom modded HotRod TargetMaster FireBolt fig... and some Diaclone Drivers...
well, I wouldn't place any new orders until they announce that they have indeed caught up. This "catching up" has been hoped for for 3 years now. I do wish Ken the best of luck though!
Wow. Just when I was expecting essentially another "no, Transrepro's dead, the site's only there till the pre-paid hosting runs out, KTHXBAI", some actual news, and good news at that. Best of luck to Ken!
Alyosha's corner has been doing outstanding work, and has been shipping fast. not like the problems that came around last year. they have a forum you can leave wanted parts on, and due to their increased production on TF parts, and teh eventual return of Ken, i'm backing out of my plans for reproparts ( keeping the few i do make available) and focusing on more reprosticker kits
Good news, glad to hear he is doing better. I got the Windcharger barrel (which is amazing ) from them about 3 years ago now, must have been just before they went on hiatus.
I ordered some translucent Wheeljack heads the same week he suffered his stroke. I've been waiting ever since. Upon learning of the update, I sent an e-mail yesterday asking for my order to be filled. I'll keep you guys posted. I'm glad to hear Ken is doing well
I dont know, this guy showed up on the Tfans boards offering alternators Jazzes at cost back on 2003 or 4, dont remember exactly, sent him the money and suddenly stopped answering my pms.....Hope everything he says is truth....
He is not currently taking new orders. As far as previous orders go, I still need my 4 Alt Wheeljack heads from 3 years ago . . . .
Thats cool, so the guy "lost" his memory and now he wont even remember that people like me sent him money for certain items and deal werent honored....
