Are there any alternatives to (the seemingly defunct) Transrepro.com out there?
It depends... are you looking to replace parts or obtain some of the custom work they've done? I've had a certain amount of luck getting replacement parts at www.transformerland.com , I got relpacement kneecaps for Metroplex and the launch gantry for Micromaster Countdown from them, I think the kneecaps were $4 each, which is not bad, considering most small things on Transrepro go for about $5. now if you're looking for a custom part, you may want to customize it yourself, by scratchbuilding or bashing a real part. The kneecaps I got were for a kitbash, I cut them down so that they didn't stick out so far.(I always thought that looked kinda dumb.)
Actually I'm looking for a pair of G1 OP fists. It seems that all I can find online is Right fists
Believe it or not, I have an extra set of repro G1 Optimus fists. PM me if your interested.
I'm still waiting on the repro WJ heads (translucent) that I ordered from Ken in early Nov. 05. I hope he's doing well and getting better, but I'm hoping that someone is still filling orders. Have any of you heard anything new from him since their last news update? I e-mailed KCC again (basically just wanting to hear something. Again, I wish Ken well!
In terms of Alt heads, Sculpt-bot has been making some fine work. For other pieces, I really don't know anyone else.
yeah, I would love to find someone who actually had an extra of those wheeljack headbacks or decepticharge/windcharger barrels... though I know I aint that lucky.
*Looks at his Decepticharge and Windcharger with repro barrels.*
I have 'em too
As do I along with my test shot D-charge. They look so much better!
. . . but I still want my repro WJ heads . . .
