It's a bloody insult to Transformers. It's like creating a sketch that's admired by many art critics and someone comes along, traces over your drawing, and sells it for their own profit. Asylum is leeching off of the money Bay and Co. are making off these movies.What do you do with leeches? You burn them off. Of course Bay and Co. have enough money to last them 5 lifetimes (And then some) so I'm sure they could care less about some wannabe film-making company making five dollars a week. These movies aren't even worth pissing on them if they were on fire.

I'm pretty sure nobody here wants someone to profit off of something they made. It's similar to my situation and all those damn creation stealers on Spore. They take my creations and claim they made it (Despite the fact that there is a Lineage you can look at to see the original creator)
IMO, the worst movie producers are
-Uwe Boll
-The Asylum
-Friedberg and Seltzer, those two idiots behind their relentless onslaught of spoof movies.
To tell you the truth I'd rather sit through an entire Asylum-made movie than to watch five whole minutes of Friedberg/Seltzer's crap

Transmorphers was/is a cheez-fest of horrid shite. I've purposely watched it, so I speak from knowledge.

But outside of that I'm truly surprised at this notion some folks are carrying.

Am I the only one that still realizes transforming robots don't belong solely to Mr. Bay and/or Hasbro?

I saw part of the last 5 minutes of this on tv a while back, couldn't believe how bad it was. I thought it was something else but found out it was actually Transmorphers, it was 100X worse that you would think a direct to DVD TF rip off would look like.

I realize it to, but Transformers revolutionized the entire concept. The first thing that comes to mind when looking at a transforming robot is the Transformers franchise in most people. TF popularity has increased incredibly in the last few years or so, which is one of the reasons why I still respect Bay. He brought our beloved franchise into the spotlight. I just wish it wasn't quite a negative view that many people have of it.

Get out the torches & pitchforks,cause here it comes,TRANSFORMERS ARE NOT REAL,THEY ARE MAKE-BELIEVE SCI-FI FANTASY CHARACTERS!!!! I mean c'mon,I'm a Transformers fan just like everybody,(well,ALMOST everybody),else here but I'm not going to lose sleep or start a riot because somebody made a cheesy copy of a Transformers movie.Getting upset over this is like getting upset about the countless killer shark movies that have been made since Jaws or even further back,Dracula.I realize there are going to be hard-core fans for pretty much all Sci-Fi,Horror,& Fantasy media but sooner or later,reality is going to kick in and I'm not saying you suddenly have to give it all up and join the depressed,life-hating masses who trudge in and out of bed everyday,but keep things in perspective.And just for the record,Transmorphers had its faults,and The Asylum doesnt make the best movies out there but can anyone else say they produced a movie that made it to a prime-time Sci-Fi channel?

The absolute BEST things that the Sci-Fi/SyFy channel has ever produced since it's inception are:

Battlestar Galactica
Taken (Speilberg-produced mini series)

Everything else is shit.

 

What about SG-1 when they picked it up from Showtime?

 

Galactica dragged on way too long but i agree with taken.

I'd argue Sanctuary and Dresden files(cancelled).

Stargate universe has promise too.
