They switch out about 2/3s through with EVERY LINE. We had the "N.E.S.T" RotF toys, the "Hunt for the Decepticon" toys, etc. Its just a sub-line. Look it up on TFWiki:

True, but there is a clear interaction across classes with this line that is unique. That may play a part in how they classify each class. I mean at this point I am speculating marketing strategy.

Nope, feel the same. Might get Mindwipe if they make him, and Rodimus (of course), but so far Titan Wars sounds like Money Saved to me.

I'm not a big fan of headmaster gimmicks on non headmaster characters myself. Just gimme those legends cassettes and Fort Max. If I buy Blaster and Soundwave they'll just stay in base mode and be used a base of operations for my DL Blaster and ML Soundwave

Haven't listened to the podcast, has there been a detailed description of this alleged new Optimus aside from "heavy retool of ultra Magnus"?

His Powermaster that becomes a mini robot also then transforms into the big head for powermaster Optimus. So intead of having a big loose head lying around like the old toy, it becomes the powermaster engine that pops into the truck's front grille.

I have not been paying attention to Titan Wars, is it a new toy line after Combiner Wars?

That the next toy label. Right now it's Transformers: Generations Combiner Wars, next is Transformers: Generations Titan Wars. Should take over late 2016.

I completely agree. I'm really annoyed that this is what our long awaited Soundwave will end up being.

So....does the cab also transform into a robot? Does it still hold a figure inside the chest like Generations Ultra Magnus holds Minimus Ambus in robot mode?

From what netkid mentioned earlier, it seems like the Headmaster(if it's still Hi-Q) doubles as the PowerMaster engine block.

I really hope the rumors are true...this line has some major potential to be freaking awesome. Powermaster OP? Playsets? Headmasters? Uh...yes please!

Agreed. Hell when I was a kid, I had a lot of fun playing with PowerMaster Optimus. So much it could do. Loved the various "masters". I only had a few but they were a lot of fun. Definitely my favorite G1 Transformers after Jetfire.

    So I saw this image:

Magnus on his own can already pull off a passable base mode, with some remolding I think Hasbro really could pull off a good Powermaster Prime.

I will get Powermaster Prime ONLY if the cab seperates and forms a robot like the original.

Yeah that's probably what we're getting, plus like you said the remolding will likely take the concept further.
