This is simple. Name your most favorite album and the artist it's by. No need to go into detail why, but I wouldn't mind reading it, and knowing what's the best track off it.

I will pick a winner at random using a number generator, the number corresponds to post number. You must have an album listed to win, or I pick another number. Please, NO posts of just comments to other posts in thread. One entry per member!!

Will ship anywhere. Open to everyone.

    Contest ends midnight Fri., TODAY!.

Update: Ends 3AM my time, which is12AM West Coast.

I tend to have a rotating fav. album and at the momment it's Erasures' POP, track #16 Chorus.

The woman in the corner likes it as well.

I don't know if I can pick just one. It's just too damned hard. Does playing iTunes or your iPod on shuffle mode count?

OK, OK, I guess not. So one of my favorites would have to be...The Eminem Show, by Eminem. It's almost impossible to pick a favorite track because I think they're all great.
(But for any music snobs reading this and shaking their heads: the Beatles' "Abbey Road" and "Sgt. Pepper" are consistent favorites too.)

This is a tough one as I try to not have just one all time favorite album and track, real toughie this.....

    Album: Independents Day
    Group: Twiztid
Single: Bury Them All (Featuring Tech N9ne, Pot Luck, Big Kris Kalico)
Reasoning: Independents Day is just an amazing album all around (if you're into the genre that is, though some songs could appeal to other people as well), the concept of an album full of guest spots is an interesting one and was well executed in the end. "Bury Them All" is just an epically dark song, with an amazing and haunting mood to it, the chorus is also satisfyingly wicked and ominous.

"Flood" by They Might be Giants. It's an album that I loved, and it's okay to sing with my daughter without muffling lyrics.

    TMBG FTW!

"Bad" from Michael Jackson. I know, if anyone's going to say Jackson, Thriller should be listed. But when an album has 11 tracks and 9 become singles, with 5 being #1 in the US, you know it's an impressive album.
Favorite Track: Smooth Criminal. That's my favorite at least.

    Album: Point of Know Return
    Artist: Kansas
Best Song: I'd have to say either "The Spider", a very nice instrumental piece, or "Portrait (He Knew)", which is a song about Einstein.

My favorite album seems to change month to month. Currently it's "Love Their Country" by Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies. I think the best track off of it is "(Ghost) Riders in the Sky", but "Sunday Morning Coming Down" is almost as good.
