Just got one in the mail from an ebay purchase.

Wow, it's even bigger than I thought it would be. (I got the larger one)

This toy is pretty amazing. It took me a while to figure out the transformation. For a while, he was just a big pile of asymetric plastic. But I finally figured it out. He's missing his missle, but I'll live.

Sweet haul, d00d. TM2 Megatron is an AMAZINGLY good toy. Now, do yourself a favour and go get hold of a RID Cryotek; the look beyond awesome next to each other.

TM2 Megs got me on a Dragon kick. I've since picked up Cryotek, a green Big Lots KO of TM2, Beast machines, RID Megatron and Galvatron, and a not-yet-arrived BW2 Galvatron. This, plus the Cybertron Scourge and Mini Scourge, make a pretty neat collection. I'll psot some pics soon, though I also hope to get a G1 Snapdragon, Hun-gurr, and Sinertwin soon. Then, it's time to save my pennies for some Deathsauruses (G1 & Botcon). Any others?

its a awesome figure, and he if you guys dont he has 2 cool secret features (might be more).

1st, you can place the extra missiles under his wings
2nd-his Spark isnt a Spark, but a chair where a figure pilot/rides Megatron. If you have any zoid models, you can use those tiny Pilots to fit inside the chair. all you have to do is take Megatrons Spark apart, which is kidna a pain. The japanese version comes with the Pilot

I had noticed that, why did they put that into the figure? Is he originally from another line?

    According to bwtf.com:
"Hasbro originally intended to create a personification of the Spark who was to control Megatron. However, after much thinking, they decided not to pusue this avenue for fear of diluting the whole Transformers mythos."

    Tigerhawk has the same thing.

I saw something spinning inside his spark bubble. I was wondering what that was. Thanks.

Whats the story behind Cryotek's figure? I read somewhere that he was BW Meg's mentor or something.

Grats on getting such awesome toy. Definitely get the RiD Cryotek like others said. I got BM2 Galvatron and other dragon TFs so I may pose them all one day. Now I am waiting for Cyb Cryotek to hit the store cuz I'll be getting that as well.

The TM2 Megatron mold was one of the best of the Beast era. I wish he had been a little bit taller, and had a bit more head articulation, but otherwise, an outstanding purchase. :)

I think he was in the $30 price range...? There were basics, deluxes, megas (TM2 Black Arachnia-sized), and then $30 ultras, which is where I think TM2 Megatron and OpOp were.

Actually OpOp was a $40 figure if Iremember correctly. TM2 Megatron was sold in an assortment with Tigerhawk at the $30 range I believe.

Cool toy. It was the first figure I bought which brought be back into TFs. I still think the rubber neck is goofy in bot mode, though.

Op Op is definately bigger. Megs body is relatively small, though his wings and long dragon neck and tail help bulk him up.

As for price, I thought Megs was $20-25, and Op Op $30? Wasn't Supreme Cheetor the first at the $40 price point.

Yep - Here's a review from back in the day. $20 for Megs and Tigerhawk.

Yeesh...I long for the day when the most expensive TF was only thirty freaking dollars...

In any case, in dragon mode, Megs is DEFINITELY taller than OpOp, thanks entirely to that neck. However, in robot mode, he's considerably shorter. You'll see when you receive both in the mail. It's not SO bad, but still.

No, thats a good thing. I had no idea that op op was so big. I'm really looking forward to getting him now. Too bad I ruined the surprise for myself.
