Gah, my newborn twins are taking up too much time. Haven't played with Dead End yet, but finally put together the Optimus figure. Not fun, well mainly taking a nail clipper to smooth out the sprue residue on the parts. Nice addition though.

Simple and effective... What would have happened if this Optimus was released back in the eighties?

I'd have bloody fingers bc I would have been 5yrs old and not known to clean up the sharp sprue marks.

Hahaha sorry! I was referring to the design itself, I think it would have been a HUGE SUCCESS! Mainly because of the limitations of that time

I kid! Playing around with this, it's a lot of fun. I have no previous experience with the GT Optimus, but you're right, simple and great design.

I bought the leaders set and the painted version of that OP is great. He almost looks too good to fit in with Iron Factory legends.

I enjoyed the model kit. Took me 6 hours to build.

I could use some help from any one that has built the MODEL KIT Optimus Prime.

On step 2 - it shows adding in a gray piece at an angle but then in step 3, that same piece is completely horizontal. My piece cannot go horizontal. It's impossible for it to do that. What am I missing? I've added a picture of the instructions and my build

Help me TWF - you're my only hope.

Building him myself right now. The grey piece will go up, its a flexible plastic. You just have to kinda spread it a little and push it up. It will go.

    That's what she said.
I'm probably going to sell all my model kit pieces and let some other poor soul go through the trouble. Anyone in Van BC who wants em, let me know.

That worked! I felt like I was going to break (which is why I didn't push so hard before) it but it finally popped into position. Thanks.

Same here. Probably going to put it on eBay. I like the set, but I've been collecting in too many directions and need to narrow my focus.

You two should update your signatures with a link to your BST threads and maybe a statement about selling the set. It helps. Also link your feedback.

Transformed Overturn back into car mode... and man do I hate the robot->car transformations on Overturn, Disorder and Carnage. Everything just seem to collide with everything else...

Not sure if this will help anyone but I just slid a black 2×2 lego block between the foot and either legbot (its a really good fit). You can get him into any pose you want without a lean. Didn't need to use the replacement shins.
