Just ordered my powertrain from TCP, had a $25 certificate in points and they give free shipping for his price, so excited to put him with the other 3.

op ex and power train are so perfectly similar and dissimilar. they just work great together


i had a hard time taking him out of robot mode last night.... i think i want to see if i can get him back into truck with the full team in alt mode, then go combined. thats my weekend goal... should be a good weekend

 

i am waiting for both! power train will arrive when overturn does! i should get OP EX tommorow or monday.

 

Wow Powertrain is probably the best engineered Combiner torso I've ever seen. Everything has a place and all tabs in great on mine.
Now I just have to wait for the last figure. I can't wait!

Taking power train from bot to combine mode last night blew my mind.


I had to stand up and turn around in disbelief. I really liked the combiner wars done right aspect of it. Wish there was a collar bone for the neck base to tab into, but like every other unsecured panel it some how stays in place well enough

Absolutely love this set, but I hope someone does a slightly undersized KO so that the car-bots are just slightly bigger than a CHUG deluxe.

UW Menasor just looks banal next to Carnifex/Overlord.

Ideally I wouldn't buy a KO (never have I bought one) however Masterpiece scale is just way too large for my own collection and the Fansproject offering just doesn't do it for me for some reason.

 

Got my Powertrain in the mail today. Looked for all qc issues right out of the box before attempting to drool over my purchase and enjoy him.

Right out of the box I notice a most obvious issue. Front won't stay tabbed together at all.

also, the more I stare at it from the front the more I notice something else, the cab is pouting, what I mean is the sides appear warped and kinda drooping. see how they don't tab to the sleeper windows properly?

 

*UPDATE*

After massaging the cab a bit I think I was able to maybe fix the issue. Not sure yet. Need to transform it a few times. But I can't deny, it does look better now.

The plastic feels very Warbotron and very fansproject aka very soft but brittle. Gonna have to be careful and handle with the upmost care.

 

Its hot outside, let it cool down so plastic goes back to normal
