MM still looking great, but I just cannot get myself to like the car bots. They just seem way too classics in MP size. I guess MM suffers from that too, but he just looks so much better than the rounded off car bots.

I wouldn't expect this to be cohesive with G1 MP - its not G1. This is based on the IDW comics version of Menasor. Modern vehicle modes, unique alt modes and a different combiner transformation.
Having said that, personally the first one looks fine on my shelf. I'm not too worried. Plus for those of us planning to get Beast Wars MPs and the3P MP scale IDW Optimus, Megs and Prowl, their's going to be some non G1 stuff arriving on shelves soon. We all just need to work out how each of us will handle it I guess.

These also aren't "MP size." They're voyager scale. Just as big as MMC' IDW Turmoil, Impactor, Kaon, etc.

The only one that is in scale with any MP bot is Motormaster.

For what reason I have no idea - most probably to appeal to both crowds and make double the money. Same thing as MMC's Overlord. He really shouldn't be that big (he's a tad too big), but hey - make him the same size as Star Saber and the G1 fanboys will go wild.

I would argue that they are similar scale and based on size would be in-scale on an MP shelf. With that being said, these do feel more CHUGsterpiece. Scale alone does not an MP make. They don't have an MP aesthetic. I do think you're right that this will appeal to parts of both crowds, despite not really fitting perfectly with either.

I still think that "MP" is a sum of parts (of which size is one). And since these guys are the same size as MP carbots, they're technically MP scale (even if said scale can be in the range of other lines). As for MP style (highly subjective based on what parts of a character's design have to be present, etc) and MP finish (physical design and construction, the fun bits of having a transforming robot toy), that's debatable and up to the individual. So could these be MP? Sure. Could they just fall short? Of course. Should that negatively affect your enjoyment of a cool toy that you like? If it does, maybe you should re-evaluate what you like about this hobby and focus on that. Hobbies should not cause stress, they should make you happy.

They are MP scale. They do not have a G1 aesthetic. They are MP scale IDW.

Voyager scale doesn't make them "mp scale." MP car bots are voyager sized. I have chug figures that are larger than MP car bots and they are not "MP sized."

Just because they're posed with MP car bots (showing a sense of size) doesn't make them "MP" anything.

Again. Disorder is the same size as TFC's Hades figures, MMC's DJD bots, MMC's Impactor and Turmoil .. list goes on. They are not "MP" nor "MP sized"

Oh and these guys aren't G1 also :p

I think saying "MP sized" is a misnomer. MP is a scale, not a size. What is MP size? Clearly MP-10 and a carbot aren't the same size, but are in the same scale. That is MP scale, within that line. While an MMC figure may be the same size as an MP carbot, they're not necessarily the same scale. Size ≠ scale. While they may not be G1 MP in aesthetic, they're are arguably MP scaled, as they're bot and car mode scale with other MP scaled cars.

Well said. I wish others knew the same. The word gets thrown around a lot.

But they also scale perfectly with large chugs/voyagers as well. If you look at their sizes in the IDW comics and say, compare them with Generations Brainstorm, or MMC Impactor; they also size perfectly with one another.

I'd also argue against them even being "MP" in material/construction.

My TFC figures feel better than Disorder does in-hand. So do my MMC figures.

Oh. For sure. But I wouldn't put him in the same class as some of my other well built figures. By no means does he feel like he's going to fall apart or anything like that.

I am also excited for the rest :)

agreed on that part but with so many members telling he's not etc etc etc i'm looking it the opposite way because i'd love to have an IDW Menasor, sure i'd love a G1 version but i don't think any company will attempt that
