Some of the rewards are limited. The early adopter reward, for example, was planned as an incentive to get people in early in the project. It was basically a $3 discount.

I may be speaking out of turn, but this guide seems a bit too soon. Personally I've only come to the 3rd party table in the last several years, with no recollection of a major 3rd party presence prior to that, but perhaps the phenom has been around for many more years than this. If so then by all means create guides until the proverbial cows come home to roost, but this guide seems a bit early in the grander scheme of the sub genre hobby. Seems to make more sense to provide a comprehensive tome like this once there is... ahem... more product to cover between its pages, doesn't it?

My goal is not to create an encyclopedia of everything that has been done. My goal is to create an introduction; a short book that I needed several months ago when discussing the subject with friends.

Someone else had suggested that a website would be a great way to handle a larger guide. I agree and am working on some ideas for that.

Well, there is the Wikialpha third party Transformer page I started. I wish other people would make additions. I'm not the greatest editor in the world, but I try to make up in quanity what I lack in quality.

That's your work? Thanks! Nice job. Whenever I search for "third party transformers" that comes up. I was wondering if it would be okay for me to add links to the third party reviews I have posted on battlegrip.com and at the TFSource blog.

Yes. PLEASE add some links. Any legitimate review or a link to page where it's on sale can be added to the "External links" section of the page.

Just doing a quick search I see there is already a TFSource review on the Kranax page. Heck, I used your pictures, but I did give them credit.

See, this kind of collab makes more sense to me than a formal book/manual/etc. at this point. I don't want to dissuade you entirely as I think some would benefit from such a manual, but again it just seems unnecessary given the plethora of material out there on the web already if a person simply does a basic search. That's all I'm sayin.

I understand. But I am a book fan. Fortunately, there are enough people who also seem to like books that the project met its goal and we're now working toward the stretch goals.

I know not everyone loves books. I personally do. I have many books . . . and I want many more.

I am happy to contribute to the page, and I still support the book. I like things on bookshelves.

I will be buying the book when I get my next paycheck, I like having something SOLID. I';m a pencil and paper fan from way back. I currently have all the third party Transformer wikialpha pages printed out and clipped together on a clip board, which is where I "edit" them with my pen. I then type in all the edits when I get near a computer!

I like the idea of an actual book, and heck, I may site the book on the wiki as a reference!
