Transformers: Zeta by Overhaulimus Prelude In the Universe, there exists a multiverse. The multiverse exists of every possible version of the planets, each one has inhabitants of the planets, all identical to the other multiverse versions where others differ. Cybertron is no different. There exists millions of alternate Cybertrons, each with it's own inhabitants that mirror those of the original, the Cybertron Prime, and those that differ. On Cybertron Prime, the greatest of Cybertron's champions wage a war for energy, of those champions, Optimus Prime is the greatest..... he has no place on this Cybertron. On Cybertron Zeta, he is still the Data Clerk Orion Pax. What makes Cybertron Zeta different from Cybertron Prime, is that Orion Pax never met Megatron nor Alpha Trion, neither of those two exist on Zeta. Without Megatron betraying Orion by destroying his body and Alpha Trion rebuilding him into Optimus Prime, he never becomes Zeta's greatest champion and thus the Cybertronians never went to Earth and this Cybertron splintered off into it's own Universe within the multiverse. Multiverse Coordinate: G1.235 Planet Name: Cybertron Zeta Cybertron is a wonder to see, an entire planet that is seemingly made of gold. Cybertron heralded in a Golden Age long ago, and it has endured for billions of years.... that is all about to change. There have been pre-destined events that have been set in motion. Before Cybertron entered the Golden Age, there was a war, a war that left it's toll on the planet. A race of war mongering aliens, sought to invade and take Cybertron and it's resources to fuel their own empire. A lone warrior amongst the populace rose up and challenged the leader of the invaders to an ancient pact, if he won then he and his army would leave and never return but if he lost, then the populace of Cybertron would bow to their will. The warrior bested the Alien General, and the invaders left Cybertron with their vow to never return. The warrior was Optimal Magnus, came from nothing, he crawled out of The Allspark and was put to work at one of the many spaceport docks. That all changed after he single handedly drove out an invading force. The Council of Elders put him in charge of Cybertron's Defense Command and his own battalion of Cybertronians. Magnus' first lieutenant, Star Saber is in charge of the Space Bridge Network and one of Saber's underlings, Twin Cast is in charge of communications. Magnus oversees anything and everything that has to do with the defense of Cybertron and it's populace, whether it be an invading army, a stray meteorite, or an asteroid on a collision course with the planet. Though he would never expect what is pre-destined to happen, the rise of an internal army that will literally cause a war within. City: Iacon Location: Data Archives. The Data Archives sit nestled near the center of Iacon, the capitol of Cybertron. It's only a short walk from The Citadel of Council of Elders, The Decagon, and The Stellar Galleries. The building that houses the Archives is expansive, covering a good portion of the heart of Iacon. The Archives is host to hundreds of rooms, each one dedicated to a unique field, and then there is the main hall. Within the main hall is where the best of the Archivists work, the best of them all is Sentinel Trion and Trannis, like many who work in the main hall, friends through and through and to the end of all time. Nothing could separate them, not even destiny they would say, but they will soon learn that destiny has other plans in mind for the both of them. A door opens on the south end of the main hall and a tall, imposing mech enters the hall. "Sentinel, may I have a word with you." The blue and golden mech exchanges a look with his friend Trannis. Trannis leans over as Sentinel gets up, "Don't worry Trion, my old friend, he's probably gonna pat you on the backplate for your exceptional entry speeds and your lack of being late.... unlike myself." Sentinel positions himself in the typical stance in front of the mech, his hands clasped behind his back and his feet planted together. "You called High Master?" asked. The High Master, a being that is said to be one of the ancients, a Prime, eyes him with cold optics. There are many thought processes passing through Sentinel's circuits, he can only wonder what The High Master would want to speak with him about, and then The High Master opened his voice processor and began to speak, the entire main hall fell silent, save for them still constantly transmitting the data into the appropriate storage devices, which none of them knew would empty in Vector Sigma, none of them even knew that Vector Sigma, the computer which gave them all life, even existed. "Sentinel Trion, you have proved your worth as a Data Archivist." The High Master said, as he said it, Trannis scoffed and muttered, "More like Data Clerk...." The High Master did not hear his comment, if he had, then he show no signs of hearing it, "You were the top of each of Archive Halls, as you are the top here, in the main hall.... and as a result, I am appointing you to the highest rank of Data Archivist, rank Zeta." It took a nanoclick for it to sink in to Sentinel and the rest of the main hall, but it took no time to sink in to Trannis. His circuits were sizzling, he should be the new Zeta, not Sentinel. Though Sentinel had warned him, that if his performance and punctuality didn't increase, that he would be stuck in his position and never advance, though despite Sentinel's advice, Trannis still rose through the halls, little did he know that it was because of his friendship with Sentinel. The other mechs were clapping now and voicing their congratulations, it had been some time since the Archives had a Zeta. A blue and red mech stood up, "Congratulations Sentinel Trion, I had always hoped that I would become the new Zeta, but if I could not, then I'm glad that it went to you, you are truly the best of us all." Sentinel bowed his head, "Thank you Orion Pax, you are truly an asset here in the Archives, as are you all." Sentinel returned to his station and The High Master retired to his office. Sentinel settled back into his duties, and glanced at Trannis, how had not said a word, which was very odd for him. "Is there something wrong Trannis?" he asked. Trannis, without looking up, "No. Of course not." and he continued with his duties. 5 cycles passed, and the alarm went off to signal to the archivists that their work day was over. Each of them packed up and promptly filed out, Sentinel, Trannis, and Orion were the only ones left. Orion, as he finished his duties asked Sentinel, "So, Sentinel, how about I buy you a pint of the best Energon that Maccadam's has to offer." Trannis gave Orion a look of Go to the smelting pools you Unicron spawn!. Sentinel noticed Trannis' exchange with Orion, "Uh, no thank you Orion, but I will have to pass this time. Maybe some other time." he said while giving Trannis a look. Orion, left the main hall and exited the Archives. Sentinel turned to Trannis, "What was that about?" Trannis' optics never left his monitor, "What was what about?" he asked. Sentinel moved to the edge of Trannis' station, "That with Orion." motioning his head towards Orion's station. "He means well. Why don't we join him at Maccadam's?" Trannis shook his head, "No can do. I have a lot of work to catch up on, I'm gonna stay late and play catch up. Maybe tomorrow." With that, Sentinel shrugged and left for the night. Trannis, punched the keys on his keyboard and a string of code begins to display, "What the frag...." and then his optics widen. City: Iacon Location: Cybertron Defense Citadel Everything is order about the Citadel, Cybertron's police force monitor the entire plane from this once location. In orbit above the planet are the planet's two moons, both retrofitted with surveillance panels on the surface of each, as well as multiple surveillance satellites that creates the Communications grid, which Twin Cast monitors. "Defense Commander on deck!" shouts a mech. Optimal Magnus, an imposing and awe inspiring mech, lowers his head and enters the room, everyone is standing at attention when Magnus walks in. "At ease gentlebots." he says with his deep booming voice. "Any news worth reporting?" he asks. Twin Cast, in his data monitor form, raises from the top of his station, and begins to unfold in the air, parts moving and exchanging places, he lands with a light thud in his robot form. "The only thing out of the ordinary was a slight miscalibration in the Archives." Magnus leans in to get a better look at Twin Cast's monitor, "What's this code mean?" Twin Cast shrugs, "I'm not sure sir, we have a specialist looking over it. What we do know, is that it's old.... real old, maybe even older than the council itself." Magnus strokes his chin, "If it's that old, then it's important, and if I haven't heard of it, then it means it's not of anyone's optics of this period. Which means, this wasn't a miscalibration of monitoring equipment. Alert me when the specialist has sent word." Magnus turns and exits the room, he retreats to his quarters within the Defense Citadel. City: Iacon Location: Maccadam's Old Oil House Maccadam's exists out of space and time, some say that the bartender is Maccadam himself and some say that Maccadam was one of the 13 Prime's, the ancient race of Cybertronians that first lead the planet. The records of the 13 show of an ancient civil war that one of the 13 caused, Megatronus Prime. He sought to take the power of Cybertron and use it on other worlds, when his brothers found out, they moved to stop him, and Megatronus forever more, was known as The Fallen. It was a very dark time for Cybertron's inhabitants, this was shortly after the populace was granted the ability to alter their bodies into vehicles. Sentinel had joined Orion at the Oil House, they were on their 3rd round of Energon, when Trannis erupted into the Oil House. He blew past the bouncer, who didn't care since he had seen him and Sentinel in here enough to know then on a name basis. Trannis did a quick search of the Oil House and located Sentinel, then he saw Orion, Nevermind the annoyance, this is much bigger than him. He hurried over, he didn't even bother sitting down, "Trion, you won't believe what I found while still at the Archives.!" Trion trying to calm him down to slow down his vocal processor, "Whoa there Trannis, just slow it down a bit so we can understand you." Trannis sat down on a stool, "While I was finishing up, this weird code started to display on my monitor. I had never seen anything like it before, it was made up of these weird symbols. I couldn't read anything, so I cross referenced it with some of the older files in the Archives, and you won't believe what I found out." Orion looked between the two, being smaller than Sentinel, he had consumed too much Energon was confused at to what Trannis was rambling about. Sentinel set his glass down, "What did you find Trannis?" Trannis gave a quick and sly look around, "It's an entire archive of the Great War, the war of the Primes. It's their entire history, and it was hidden within ghost files, I must have entered the right string of keystrokes to bring it up. Do you know what this means? This means that I will finally get my wish, we both will be in positions of power, positions that we've always wanted." Sentinel studied Trannis for a moment, "You need to take this to The High Master, this was hidden for a reason." Trannis nodded, "I will old friend, I will"
