is there any transformers whose physical appearance or personality remind you of characters from different works of fiction?

    To start off:
The Vehicons in TF prime, i think most people have said they resemble cylon Centurions.
Prime Arcee, dont know why but reminds me of either a Turian or Asari from Mass effect.

I could've sworn I once saw dead ringers for the Quints in some tentacle porno.

    (ahem)

TFA Blitzwing reminds me of nearly every character Arnold Schwarzenegger's ever played, as well as Colonel Klink from Hogan's Heroes.

TFP Bumblebee reminds me of R2D2 from Star Wars.

TFA Lockdown reminds me of Boba Fett from same.

G1 Octopunch reminds me of the Big Daddies from Bioshock.

IDW Kup reminds me of R. Lee Ermey in drill instructor mode.

Someone had a great signature with Hot Rod and Kup and the faces of that dude and his father from that 70s show. I think that's kinda fitting :)

Dammit, that one was just so obvious but it slipped my mind all the same.

TFA Ratchet is practically a mechanical Dr. House.

    ROTF Scalpel - Dr. Menegele.

While not exactly a character, still worthy of mentioning: German accent, medical skill [though Scalpel seems to be far more skilled than Menegele was], an ever-lasting urge to do the most pointlessly cruel thing they can through medicine.

The Fallen - Apocalypse from X-Men, both semi-divine creatures who love to come up with apocalyptic plans, both are sort-of religious figures, both are overdramatic and power-hungry.

DOTM Sentinel Prime - Magneto, both key-figures for their race, said race is ocstrazied by humanity on varying degrees, both were once friends to the other key-figure of their race [Optimus and Xavier], both suffered the horrors of war and genocide [Sentinel on the Great War, Magneto on WWII, Sentinel witnessed his race slowly go extinct, Magneto witnessed the same thing through the Holocaust] they both use extreme methods, but in the end, both only want the best for their race.
In an off-hand comment, both seem to enjoy wearing red and having kickass helmets.

G1-Comics Shockwave - Mr.Sinister from X-Men [sensing a pattern here?], both skilled scientists who are motivated by science and science only, both have no regard for other's lives, both have the penchant for betraying their bosses if they see fit.
In another off-hand comment, they both usually wear shades of blue [from light blue to dark-ish blue and sometimes black].

Well, I ended up comparing personality instead of appareance, but whatever.
There's probably more, but I can't remember any right now.

It's been said before, and I didn't think of it, but DOTM Shockwave is a lot like Boba Fett - He's awesome looking, hardly ever speaks, and the fans love him, but he does very little on screen, and gets quickly killed/defeated (although it was retconned that Boba Fett didn't actually die when he got eaten by the Sarlacc).

    1. Prime Arcee - Priss from Bubblegum Crisis:

    [IMG] [IMG]

Aside from the visual similarities, they're both biker girls; have anti-social personalities, but care deeply for their friends; and both carry long-time grudges and desire for revenge after the loss of loved ones.

    2. Big Convoy - Gundam Heavyarms:

    [IMG] [IMG]

Both armed to the teeth: shoulder and leg-mounted missiles, retractable melee weapons (tongfa sticks/blades) and huge gun!

    3. TFA Blackarachnia - Demona from Gargoyles:

Shared characteristics: consumed by vengeance, hateful of organics/humans, driven by obssessions (eliminate organic contamination/destroy all humanity), traumatic pasts, conflicted relationships with lead male characters (Optimus/Goliath), BA's former identity, Elita-1, has similar turquoise colouration as Demona, and both are sympathisable villains.

Actually, he's more like Darth Maul: A silent enforcer who is always mentioned as a major threat, he wrecks shit up like nobody's business and gives the hero a run for their money.

A better example of Boba Fett on the TF universe would be TFP Cliffjumper or ROTF-Jolt though both did far more than Boba Fett did [seriously SW-Fanbase, the guy stood around and looked cool, nothing else].

I still think he's more of Magneto than Ra's Al Ghul [who is more often seen as a paranoid madman than an Extremist].

Sentinel is Ras' because he once mentored Batman much like Sentinel did with Optimus Prime before they became enmies who want nothign more than to destroy the world their student wishes to protect.

The Fallen always reminded me of a demonic Bionicle. He's got the mask, the mech-organic aesthetic, etc. He's even got that hidden beak-mouth face going on.
