The whole "is this line movie or not" question will be answered as soon as we get a full pic of the back of a box. The paramount info will be there. If we're lucky, this replaces Universe and some will just be "movie series", along with the other series.

I think Payload looks nice (I like how the dark colors work with his yellow-based body) and the vehicle mode-based boxart looks nice as well to me.

They could always sell us the Transformer toys in pieces, still stuck on the sprues, and just let us assemble them ourselves.

Bandai's been doing it for years, and their profits aren't affected one bit.

Besides, why have a fit over the packaging? The toy is more important, no?

They're changing up names of lines and packaging and this is the crap they decide to start with? A repaint of a toy that's not even a year old. I feel like Ralphie in A Xmas Story after he decoded the Little Orphan Annie message about Ovaltine. Longhaul.. A crummy repaint!

At least Sea Spray is something new.

dam i dont think they could have picked a worse name for him. i mean, ya it makes sense and all, but we already had a decent payload from movie 1. but i wont gripe. ill probably get him and just call him yellow long haul.

all this packaging changes is confusing me. so, basically, rotf is going to cross over into the next universe line? because if sea spray is an rotf figure.. even though it was said he could carry scouts on the back of his vehicle mode..

oh hell i dont know. im confused and i guess we will just half to wait and see. dont really dig the yellow packaging. liked the red alot better. kind of getting sick of yellow because it reminds me to much of bumblebee.. who im also getting sick of. at least toy-wise.

that would be pretty cool actually.. kind of a "movie" universe line. where they make toys that would fit in with other movie toys but also with universe toys. and they could remake some other older movie toys into newer better molds, or make toys for characters who haven't even gotten a toy yet. like the other 3 constructicons. that would be pretty sick! :D

If it's taken people this long to figure out that the whole line is going under one name... wow...

Indeed. The Transformers, like life, has more than one dead end.

I like the bot mode packaging, but passing on Yellow Long Haul. Green version is good enough for me.

    TF's packaged in bot-mode = awesome.

All over both Payload and Seaspray. Strangely enough, if it had just been another version of Long Haul I would have passed.

For all we know, the bio on the box might ID this Payload as the same 'Con from the first movie, in a new body.

I live in hope of this. Some of it seems like a possibility with the forthcoming Deluxe Ironhide. The other Constructicons are something that definitely should be made; I don't think that anyone would argue with the need for the "missing" Constructicons.

I have always preferred them to come in alt mode so I can watch the robot spring out of the vehicle as I twist and pull and change. Personal preference, I guess.

    No, that's a new change.

An interesting note on that, painting a toy yellow makes it harder to transform. ...the more you now!

I think it's a new thing. Maybe it allows them to accomodate non-transforming figures in the coming catch-all line.

Likewise I hope for missing constructicons to make appearances in this line.

Doubly likewise is my own preference for vehicle mode packaging. It just seems...silly to go backwards. The point is that you get a neat vehicle that transforms into a kickass robot. Not a kick ass robot that turns into a boring vehicle.
