Since I've only been into collecting for about six months now, the only Optimus Prime I have is the WfC version. I'd like a more G1-ish Optimus Prime, but the prices for a Classics version is a little more than I want to pay. I like the look of the Transformers United Optimus Prime, but I'm wondering if anyone out there can give me some feedback. I've watched the video review, but I'm looking for other opinions.

I'll probably pass on the G2 RTS Optimus Prime, not a fan of the design.

    Oh, the Deluxe one.

It's not the worst figure ever, but it's blown out of the water by the Voyager Prime. Just make sure you disable the punching gimmick. And don't bother with the alt mode.

It's pretty underwhelming. Beyond my objections to the mold itself, the United version goes a step further by painting the feet a dark metallic blue, which does not match the rest of the legs at all.

So the classic Voyager would be the better way to go?

The deluxe Optimus from the Classics/United line is quite terrible. His poseability and robot mode look is decent enough, but his whirlwind gimmick is annoying and pointless, and his truck mode looks like absolute crap.

If you want a Classics style Optimus, get the Henkei voyager. Might cost a little more, but it's worth every single penny.

Save up for the voyager. The Deluxe one isn't even worth $10.

Get the classic voyager or match your set with the faith leader.

This. I would not pay the United price for it though.

I got it for free from my cousin from Hong Kong and I say its not worth it. I'm seriously thinking about getting Henkei Convoy.

Yea, either grab the Henkei from an online retailer, or look on the B/S/T boards for a classic one that may come in a little cheaper for ya. Definately a huge step up from the WFC figure.
