i concur, i never knew that the matrix made him THAT big...unicron needs to mash hotrod in the back...or at least replace hotrod with wheelie...

I guess it's kinda neat, either Hot Rod's bigger than I remember or Unicron's shorter in person. :p

I'd consider it, but $150 is a bit steep considering it only stands shy of 9 inches. Even if it is pretty wide.

I wish Hot Rod was a little smaller, like say replace him with WST Hot Rod....

Either way I will be getting this piece, right next to my Devastator from Palisades

It's a nice piece, but I think finding a hard hero unicron statue is a better deal. Not only is it much larger and perhaps cheaper, I just like that one more. This one seems a bit too exaggerated.

Pass. I like the Hard Hero version I have better anyway. I also agree Wheelie instead of Hot Rod...too funny!

I didn't dig any of the Hard Hero sculpts, and I'm sure that Digger/Art Asylum are gonna kick ass with this one. Even at $150, I'd consider it, but the size of the Hot Rod ruins it for me. Over Cybertron, especially digging his claws into it, would have preserved the spirit of the character so much more. Now he just kinda has an ogrish feel to him.

Love the Quintesson heads mounted into the base, though. Kinda detailing that makes me love AA's stuff.

I've gotta get Palisades' Devastator--I finally cracked and got into statues, violating my ban on nontransforming purchases. But Diamond's 6" Wheeljack and Shockwave are some of my favorite display pieces now.

The Hotrod/Roddie kills it for me. Ruins the scale. Otherwise it would have been cool.

Ok, Transformer statue completionist here... :)  This is going to come off a little negative, but I don't mean it to be.

The problem with what both Diamond and F4F are doing is that it's all been done before. Consider this - there's a tiny, tiny percentage of the TF fanbase that purchases statues. Anyone out there that absolutely had to have a Unicron statue has had four years to get one from HH. In keeping with that thought, anyone who really wanted a 12" Prime or Megs has had TWO previous opportunities to purchase them from either HH or Palisades. This makes me wonder how well the Battlefield statue is going to sell for F4F... and with the Beast Wars busts on the horizon, I don't want to see them doing poorly right now.

Also, all the Joe fans I know (10 or 12 folks) HATE the Joe/TF crossover stuff, so I wonder how well those are going to do for F4F. The head busts from Diamond look nice, but again, they're targeting a very small group that have had multiple opportunities to pick up statue/bust incarnations of these characters.

The Beast Wars busts and G1 statues (Swoop, Bludgeon, Scourge) seem like a really cool direction in which to go. If they can keep the cost down, I believe people would jump at some of the lesser known characters.
