Wish I could help but I didn't hear any version of it. I'm not sure which one they are counting as "theme" for the soundtrack.

It's possible that a part of the theme was played so briefly that we just didn't catch it.

The theme for the movie was never there except in the album itself. It was done by Cheap Trick and is called The Fallen Remix.

I know there are lots of things incomprehensible in this Bayverse but not adding the theme in some shape or form just boggles my mind. i mean, Superman has a theme...Batman has a theme... everyone knows it when it's played.. why cant we have Transformers.

They have a theme. Well in the first film at least, the Autobots have three themes, the All Spark has one, and the Decepticons have one. I think Jablonsky composed another two for the Primes and the Fallen respectively for the sequel.

Jablonsky's music owns that little jingle using the 1984 taglines.

The Nolan films didn't use Danny Elfman's music.

Really? Which is "the" Batman theme you're referring to: the one from the 60s show, the Danny Elfman one, the Shirley Walker one, the Elliot Goldenthal one or the Zimmer/Howard one? Heck, there's probably more, but I've forgotten them; point is, it's not that unusual for a long-running franchise to accrue a number of theme songs...

Still, I was a little confused by that credit on RotF: it wasn't even the Cheap Trick version mentioned, it was the plain vanilla "Transformers Theme", By Anne Bryant and Ford Kinder. Anyone hear it in there anywhere? If it was there, it must have been damn subtle for the collected TF nerds of the world to all miss it... :)
