Uh, when you say the movie. Which one do you mean? The original 1980's cartoon version, or Michale Bay's first movie?

It was just on ABC, like, 5 minutes ago.

    Plus it's on DVD, too.

I always laugh heartily when I see tv channels advertising their first big showing of a movie....that came out 5 years ago. I always wonder if somewhere some person sees the commercial and thinks "sweeeeet!" I've wanted to see that film for 5 years and now I can finally see it in an edited, non letter boxed version with commercials!

I try to avoid seeing movies that I have on DVD or Itunes on TV. It's much better without all the TV editing and commercials.

Remember when we had to wait an entire year for a movie to be released on VHS or PPV? Nowadays, we're getting them on DVD/Bluray 2-3 months after theatrical release.

I'm not a big fan of watching movies on television, unless it's AMC, and even then I'd prefer to watch the movies in their original, unedited format, and totally uninterrupted on DVD/Bluray or through On-Demand. I just feel that commercial breaks ruin the flow of movies. And don't get me started on heavily edited content. This type of thing may have worked 15-20 years ago, but television is no longer an appropriate avenue for showing movies.
