Movies that make grown men cry | Movies Blog - Yahoo! Movies
Edit : 500th Post woohoo
Makes "men" cry? Eh... no.
Makes "men who used to be kids cry when they were still kids" yes.... sometimes.
i didn't cry. I was excited to see some of them go & make room for the newer guys.
I beg to differ.
It's all about having the heart of a child (in your freezer).
The list is abit o fail , no Ol' Yeller or Brian's song
Hmm. I didn't cry in Rocky or Terminator, but whatever.
Good to see some Up love, but Toy Story 3 deserves a spot as well. Old Yeller - definetly. I can't think of any other movies that at least made me want to cry... well I'll admit Cameron's Titanic was pretty damn depressing.
^This, but hey, any time G1 ends up in the news for any reason, that's pretty cool.
I cried and my mom says ALL of the kids cried in the theater too.
Of course it makes men cry. Men that are little kids. I mean, I cried. When I was a little kid.
Can't say any of those did it for me.
The 'Superman' bit near the end of Iron Giant always brings a moistness to my eyes, even now that I'm an old fart. For some reason the bit in Spider-Man 2 where he stops the runaway train and the people stop him from falling after makes my eyes consider leaking.
I don't remember crying when I saw TFTM as a kid. I do remember crying when my cat died, and they never made a movie out of that story...
End of Line
What, no Marley and Me? THAT was a sad movie (and book)
I'll admit I got a little misty eyed at the scene where Prime passes the Matrix and dies.
Daniel certainly cried. Ahem.. as did many other.. (sniff) excuse me for a moment...
I cried and sometimes still do when I see it. I think if you didn't, you're probably lacking a connection to the character that more hardcore fans have.
I don't remember crying when I saw the death scene from the 86 film for the first time. I think my reaction was more of a "Wow...Did that just happen?"
And yet, years later, the end of Iron Giant always made me kind of teary eyed for some reason...Go figure.
Glad I'm not the only one. lol
I didn't cry at the movie, I never saw it as a kid. Instead, they hit me with the second shot "Dark Awakening". I saw the movie as an adult, and while I didn't cry, I did get choked up.
I also chocked up pretty severe back in the day at T2 as well. The way they terminated Arnold was more moving than most human deaths in movies.
To me, the voice acting was superb in the passing of the Matrix scene. Truly one of the better scenes of the movie. Even after seeing TFTM '86 literally hundreds of times, that scene still chokes me up.
Optimus died for the first time, and it lingered. How could it not make you cry?
