Maybe the bonus is an exclusive?

I hope not, because the bonus is the free poster that it shows, I was thinking that maybe it's along the lines of the PS3/PS2's exclusive Spiderman 3 game where you collect something in the game and you get to play a special Character

That'd be cool but Target's already doing that with their "Robo-Vision" exclusive version. :)

    ...

GO TARGET!! W00T!! Sorry, couldn't help myself. :D

I thought target only had those "exclusive skins" for the Robovision BS?

I've seen bonuses like this before from GameStop for collector's editions, the bonus is not the poster, that's their own incentive for ordering the game.

Well I don't care to much, only have the Wii for now, and by the time I get 360 someone will have bought the "special edition" and we'll know if it's something good

It's probably either the poster or the case. Wasn't this shown before with a metal case like Lost Planet or FFXIIs collector editions?

    Doesn't matter to me either. I have a 360 and I'm getting the Target version, I don't care what kinda' razz-matazz EB's plugging. :)

Still means nothing. My copy of Mortal Kombat Armageddon was the collector's edition and it had not only the metal case, but an art cel, an extra DVD with bios and videos, and the arcade-perfect MK2. Again, GameStop does those extras all the time, the poster won't be the bonus. A quick search showed they were giving the poster away with every version of the game, even the DS games, and the metal case wont be the only extra.

when i found out peter cullen and frank welker were going to be part of the game i put in my preorder, this was before it was called the cybertron edition.
the poster is a free bonus and is part of any TF game preorder

as i understand it we are getting 3 different transformers game types.
1 360/ps3/wii/ps2 and pc will be one game type, different grafix and controls, basicly the same game
2 psp is a totaly different game that is said to have 20 g1 unlockables, no idea on game play
3 ds is different again, with auto and con versions, something about building your bot, scanning alt modes and so on

they do seem to favor some stores over others, target gets the g1 robovision codes while gamestop/ebgames gets the 360 cybertron collectors edition.
details so far on the cybertron edition:

    Bonus unlockable levels
Bonus code to unlock two 'Cybertron' levels, one for each side in the game (Autobot and Decepticon)

    Bonus Content Disc
Behind-the-Scenes Interviews and B-Roll from movie and game talent:
Peter Cullen (original Optimus Prime, Optimus Prime in game and film)
Frank Welker (original Megatron, Megatron in game)
"Making of" features with the game's development teams from Traveler's Tales and Activision and Flint Dille, writer on the original Transformers series and consultant on the Transformers game.
Film content including movie trailers and TV spots.

    Prequel Comic Book
Volume 1 of 4 official movie prequel comic books.
Designed by Transformers artist legend, Don Figueroa. Published by IDG comics.
Storyline: Tells the back-story of the battle between Autobots and Decepticons on Cybertron, as well as the importance of the All-Spark cube and how it was lost.
    Limited Edition Packaging

ive heard the robovision codes for the g1 skins will work on non target versions of the game, while the 360 cybertron edition may or may not be the only 360 version to get the 2 extra lvls that take place on cybertron. at this point its rumors, we wont really know till the end of the month.

Maybe you can play as Ratchet, Bonecrusher, Frenzy and/or Brawl since they're not supposed to be playable characters? That'd be kinda cool.

OK now this info makes me want to get Gamestop's version. Nice bunch of extras there. Sounds well worth the extra $10 to me.

The bonus the ad is referring to is the poster, plain and simple...eb/gs does these for many of their games...it even specifies it with the "bonus offer" in the middle of the page.
