The release of said cut was/is merely speculation, but many sources, including Steve Jablonsky himself, have stated that there was enough cut content for such an extended variant to be released. Fans have since hoped that the unused stuff could be re-added, but I don't think anyone confirmed anything.

There's no reason to get any hopes up there will be an extended version released. I hope I am wrong though.

IF there is an "extended cut", or anything of that sort, I hope that no one is naive enough to expect that whatever scenes may have been cut from the theatrical version will be expensive effects scenes involving transformers. I don't need to explain why this is not happening, do I?

Should just have Cogman or Squeeks on the cover.

Either way....with the 5th (and not fooling anyone) final movie on Blu ray, I have to wonder when the "5-movie-ultimate-edition" transforming boxset and artbook will be announced.
Pure speculation here, but other movie properties have done so (see Alien).

Can you imagine an artbook with all concept and actual renders of movie TF!?

Yeah, anybody expecting more scenes with robots is just leading themselves to disappointment. It'll probably just be extended versions of the human scenes.

Jablonsky said it was constantly being shorted, but he never delved into the extent of the shortening. Plus he was mainly talking about it being shorted by a second here or three seconds there, which would screw up with the rhythm of his music.

End of September is pretty much right on with the last two movies.  Age of Extinction digital was September 16th, physical copies on September 30.  Dark of the Moon release was September 30.

So we can assume that the 3D version will release on a different date?

With a release date for the DVDs and Blu-rays we can kind of figure when Paramount should start throwing people under the bus. They will wait until they have milked a bad film as hard as they can before pointing fingers. If they don't throw people under the bus then we really need to start worrying that Paramount has learned absolutely nothing from The Last Knight.

Ouch and that horrible cover art. It's almost enough to make you think it's an evil conspiracy to sell the hard core fans this edition and then turn around and sell a boxed set so the got to have it fans will have to buy the previous films all over again to get a copy of The Last Knight with better art work on the cover.

The cover doesn't bother me too much as it's easy to make your custom cover anyway. But yeah, it's pretty bad. Why not one of the movie posters, like the one with Optimus alone with Cybertron behind him.
