I was wondering if this game is worth it or not, I have a demo for it and that's cool but I was wondering how the game on a whole is

It's alright. Not a whole lot past drive, transform, run and gun. It's fun to put it on invincible and just blast away. Personally, I had a hard time with some of the levels without this cheat.

I enjoyed it a lot. Its aged a bit but I still prefer it over the movie game. If you can find it cheap I'd go for it, my local Meijers was selling it for $10 a while back but no longer has it. The boss battles were pretty cool, as is all the extras included.

It's the best TF game you can find. The game gets insanely fun after the first Amazon level.

Good to know, guess I'll buy it then. Looking at videos; Unicron's boss battle seems to last like 2 mins :(

Though I don't have a PS2, I'd say the TF Armada game is probably the best Transformers game so far.

But that's not even saying alot. :(

Yes, yes a thousand times yes. Best looking and best playing Transformers game I've ever played.

A nice bit of run and gun, the mix and match options with the mini cons is cool, the cinematics are nice and the boss fights range from simple to 'holy shit'.

I played it on the standard difficulty and it was pretty hard. But still, I had a blast with it. It controls well, has a pretty innovative upgrade system, amazing visuals and open landscapes ESPECIALLY for the PS2, lots of stuff to unlock, great references to the animated movie (particularlly Prime's dialogue), has some totally epic battles, and has probably my favorite version of the TFs theme music ever(once you get near the end it plays during the setup area before a mission). It is really worth it. The only negatives is that it's Armada versions of the characters (but they honestly don't follow the cartoon all too much (no humans)) and there are really very few characters featured.

Fantastic game, and the draw distance and detail are among the best on the PS2.

I am not an Armada cartoon show fan but I have to admit the game is pretty decent. It is a LOT better than the movie game and is fun to play. I am sure you can pick it up pretty cheaply now.

I might be spouting Blasphemy here, but seeing as how Zelda is my favorite franchise of all time, I can say this. You know how when you play Zelda, there are places that you can't reach at first, but as you aquire items, you return to old places and begin exploring and finding the things you couldn't.

Transformers: Armada has similar cool elements, and some of the levels are Huge. So as your earn new minicons that give you new abilities, you can go back told levels and find some cool things you didn't have before.

It definitely has some replay value, in that they stuffed it with cool unlockable TF goodies.

i admit, i would get lost easily on the amazon level, but the fact that you had large maps, the upgrade system kept you from being bored and added a strategic element helped, the bosses were OMG moments i hadn't had in many games. There is one boss other than Unicron that made me gasp.
it is worth it and a loaf of bread.

That Boss alone is worth the discounted price of admission.

I need to play that again. I remember getting stuck on some snow level and not playing anymore.

It's hands down the best Transformers game. Which admittedly isn't saying much, but it's still a pretty solid 7 or 8 out of 10. It's got a lot of cool features and a lot of replayability as you try to track down all the Minicons that you couldn't reach the first time through.

It is really hard though. I confess, I spent a number of frustrating hours until after a certain point I switched on the invincibility cheat and started having a lot more fun with it. Normally I'm not one to advocate cheating the way through a game the first time through, but for me in this case it improved the experience.

Just to clarify; how long is the story and does it have replay value?
