Just read the issue and thankfully it doesn't appear to be laden with as many speech errors as issue #1. The art is very cool and the coloring effects to show things like Megatron's transformation into Galvatron are awesome. The story does still seem overly simplified from the actual Movie story. Also the little captions explaining some of the happenings for the reader are really unnecessary IMO. Also in case anyone is curious, they left out Spike's swear.

Makes me wonder, what is Budiansky actually doing here? Summarizing? Just seems like a huge waste of talent to me.

It's called "cashing in" on what's hot. This is nothing more than a cash-cow. Did we need this? No. Is it a great book? Not even close. Budiansky should have just used his old script. At least then I wouldn't read through this in 3 minutes.

Eh, I kind of enjoyed this, mostly for the nostalgia factor and the art. The panels aren't so cramped this time around, so Don's art has a little more room to breathe. In particular, that big panel with Galvatron being tortured by Unicorn is flat-out stunning. Unfortunately, that about does it for the positives. There aren't any editorial errors this time around, but the story is being blazed through like Budiansky was on meth when he wrote the thing. Weren't they supposedly adding scenes to flesh out the story? I understand they have to compress the story to fit it into four issues, but this is kinda ridiculous. The shuttle scene with Kup & the Dinobots was basically reduced to "hey Kup, tell us a storOHSHITDECEPTICONS!".

i think this book is great for the fact it follows strictly the movie, unlike the original series. its just great to have uncle bob in print Tf related. good times.

i just got my copy and i just want to give a big shout out to don and josh.

its just great seeing them working on a project involving the old characters, and seeing this stuff, its like, i'm watching the movie for the 1st time. its totally different when the artist(s) are so familiar with the subject material (as opposed to some hired gun whos really good at what he does), and you can feel the love of the material practically beaming from the pages; yes, i'm gushing.

again, kudos to the creative team, that means uncle bob too.

Man, I got to check this issue out...its good to read that the speech balloons aren't mixed up and I agree...why do they (writers) have to squeeze the story into 4 issues?!

I'm getting the whole set of 4, but I think that 4 will prolly be my favorite.

The OP death scene was pretty good though in this comic.

I have both of the comics to date and I think that the art is excellent but the speech by the characters is just butchered. They just should have put in the lines from the movie, probably would have made the comic more interesting.

like most others have said, it felt rushed....i also thought they were fleshing it out, but yet nothing has been fleshed, its all just been trimmed....its rediculous...it seems that it should have been a 5 or 6 ish series and that uncle bob should have watched the movie more then once before sitting down to write this....as kickback said, its very cashcow...i bet the trade sells big when the new movie hits next summer....

    Art is lovely.

Pacing is off my radar. :(  It feels like there's some kind of miscommunication going on between Budiansky and Don. Dunno how else to explain it.

Just like in the VHS version of The Movie. It doesn't matter to me.
