huh i\'ve always thought these types of card games were super lame, but my kids just started getting into Pokemon, perhaps i\'ll have to get them a set of this... i don\'t know why, but i find the oversized cards appealing...

I’ve already played far too many CCGs in my life, and I’ve learned the hard way that they always just too expensive to get into. I’m sick of loot boxes in video games, and I’m sick of them in real life too.

I am going to be all over this. I'm a sucker for a good trading card game, and it'll be great getting to play one from the very beginning. I can't wait to see what kind of neat stuff they include!

Weird mix of art styles going on here. The character cards seem to be using ones from TF:Legends, while the art for the upgrades is IDW, and the packaging is Evergreen and what I'm guessing is original artwork for the Slipstream booster. Does look neat though, but I'll probably wait to see how the game plays before spending all of my money on it.

Recycling TF Legends artwork again :/ hopefully they will be better resolution than the CW/TR cards were at least.

While I’m not against them using TFL art again, I hope they’ll be adding new art over the course of it. TFL did repeat a lot of characters and while it had some great art sometimes, it also had some very WTF art.

I'll probably buy some just for the card collecting aspect.

As expected, they reuse the assests from the Transformers Legends mobile game.

Which isn't bad. For all its faults the art wasn't one of them.

Not at all surprised by this, considering how many high-quality art assets got made for the Legends mobile game. Bit odd to see a digital card game go physical, but I guess there's an audience there.

We already have a 8-page thread for this: New WotC Transformers trading card game due late 2018

That's a weird Slipstream design. Like they compressed the cockpit and intakes to make the torso feminine... certainly does not look like the upcoming Cyberverse design...

On behalf of MTG players around the world..... We were so excited for this game to launch but this is like a punch to the gut. Who is even incharge over at Hasbro anymore? Do you listen to what people want? Nope lets reinvent the wheel and give people exactly what they don't want. You have the biggest most successful TCG of all time and this is what your marketing team decided on? People should be fired over this. Yes it's G1 but it's also going to fail hard. Stop trying so hard Hasbro, talk to people who play TGC's this is laughable. We were all sitting around waiting for this announcement and as soon as it got passed around it was a head smack.... WTF!

I'd be interested on hearing how it plays from someone who's more into card games. I wouldn't mind building a few decks to share at a game night if it's interesting, but cards with Transformers on them isn't enough to make me buy.
Um, no offense, but I'm glad that they made a different system? Magic is good at what it's trying to do, but I'm much more interested in them creating a game that reflects Transformers from the ground up rather than reskinning a game with decades of rules to try and fit.

I'll likely grab some. I likely will not collect them all but a few cards would be cool to own.

You gonna be okay over there..? I think it's a little early for this kind of reaction. I'm cautiously optimistic about this.

Ugh. I mean, Hasbro owns M:TG. Make it a slightly altered clone of M:TG. Reading those cards, this looks bad.

I wish this was out before TFcon. I remember a bunch of my roommates at HasCon would play Magic in our hotel room after hours. This would be great to play with other fans at TFcon, like before the convention starts or in the hotel lobby during the After Party for those who aren't drinkers. Oh, well. Maybe next year.

Also, I'm kind of disappointed this just seems to be reusing existing artwork. Which of course is frugal on Hasbro's part, but I do hope this does well enough to get more original art in the future. Maybe even non-G1 expansions like a BW one, or an Armada one, or an Animated one, etc.

I still want to see a Transformers version of D&D too! Hasbro, if you're reading this, please make it happen! I can help you design/define races, classes, spells, campaigns, etc.! Seriously, I want to be the Chris Perkins of TF D&D!
