Can anyone take a photo of SS Blackout and SS Starscream standing side by side as if they were in a line up, as straight on as possible?

Just watching all those Blackouts selling out on ebay. Looks tempting, But I think I should wait till the collector store has them in stock.

Grimlock is a pass for me but blackout is the business.

Happy for those who have him

Well, the sales staff were kind enough to grant me early access, so... (^.^') Anyways, regarding Blackout, the bot mode is amazing and the vehicle mode is ginormous! Of course, there are inaccuracies, like the forearm kibble and the rotor transformation, but all in all, he's nice, complex and great in both modes.

HOWEVER, my main issue with this guy is the build quality. He actually feels really light and hollow. The vehicle mode is uncovered in the back and worst of all, there are stress marks on the hinges next to the cockpit. From what I understand, this is a widespread issue and is not limited to my copy. The plastic is way too thin there, so do be really careful when transforming the arms and don't hold the figure by the arms while transforming them.

A definite recommend. (^o^) As for Grimlock... see here.

Some size comparisons (and some fun):

    great pictures!
altough (and not to be mean) kevin liu's and benscollectibles figures don't seem to have the stress mark issue (yet) and with only a few people having him i think it's to early to say that it is a widespread issue.

You can actually see tiny stress marks on theirs. This is not from mishandling the toy. On the contrary, he came out of the box like that. Of course, your mileage may vary.

Wouldn't it have been neat if the movie had a fight between the largest Decepticon and the largest Autobot?

Hell yeah! If you ask me, one of the things I didn't like about the first movie is that it never had Blackout interact with any of the other robots. The only (major) fights that Blackout participated in were all against humans. I know that was all to forward the humans' arc (get attacked by Blackout > get revenge on Blackout), but I would have loved to have seen him fight.

We still have the Grindor fights in Revenge of the Fallen and The Transformers Ride. I guess that's close enough.

Crap, forgot to mention a couple more nitpicks. The shoulders on mine refuse to tab in properly. Also, I really, really wished they added a wrist swivel...

I bet today someone is going to make an April Fools joke at me about maybe Blackout being sold out or someone is going to sell it to me cheap. I'm not falling for it.
