I have been thinking of this idea ever since my GRIMZILLA custom. I have been lucky enough to be commissioned to take on one of my greatest concepts Ive come up with to date. And with the extra input from the commissioner, you guys are in store for a bunch of surprises. Let's get on to the project shall we...

07/13/2013 Update: Chest plate complete, need to modify head to better resemble computron but is attached to the chest plate on a ball joint for full articulation. Also built stabilizers for the feet to compensate for the massive size and weight so the figure is able to stand on its own 2 feet without a stand and is able to do dramatic poses. FOR THOSE WHO ARE DIEING TO SEE SNEAK PEEK of COMPUTRON IN COMPLETE FORM CHECK OUT MY INSTAGRAM: DATSIKK

2/17/2013 UPDATE: Ive been asked many times as to how do I get my custom pieces to combine. It has taken me weeks to try and figure out how to get these molds to form computron. The difficulty includes durability, having enough connectors so that computron is balanced, and the connectors have to look good in all modes. So this is the first time I'm revealing my preference on combiner joints. My other customs may vary depending on how I want them to look but here is how computron will combine. I prefer using neoshifter joints with most of my customs firm connection and ease of release. In addition for this custom I used sliding joints off of Cybertron Overload/payload. It looked more sleek and clean as shoulder joints as compared to the neoshifters sticking out of the pieces as used for the knee joints.

STARTED COMPUTRON MODE: working on connections, proportions, and poseabilitly.

This union of 2 of the most iconic worlds of the 80's should turn out to be A match made in SCI FI heaven if I can get all the custom pieces to function and flow aesthetically. The character chosen is TRANSFORMERS COMPUTRON, this custom will have the TECHNOBOTS as bot modes and as an ALT mode it will be a STAR WARS VEHICLE with functional cockpits and pilots. It will have an abundance of artillery accessories and it will be a combiner/gestalt but it will also have another surprise transformation as well.

Heres a sneak peek below, stay tuned......UPDATES WEEKLY

With NOSECONE I will be trying to integrate a motorized drill bit to add a little function to the form. Hopefully I can get it to work.

Thx Bro, loved that galvatron you just did! probably the best custom ive seen on that character by far!

    Thx Dude!

I'll try not to let you down, more updates coming tonight working on bot modes right now.

Dont worry only using pieces, SCATTERSHOT is the most difficult piece to create and he'll probably be made up of over 20 different toys when hes completely done. Im trying to keep him scattershot jet with an xwing twist. still trying to stay true to G1.

good luck on your METROPLEX BRO! He was one of my favorite customs. It was so hard trying to make a good proportioned metroplex, glad i could help.

Thx for the support bro! Yeah computron is one of my favs too, just finally figured out how to create a custom one of my one. When doing custom combiners the hardest part is finding the perfect base figures to start with. And I like having them all match.

Good call on Captain Rex, that mold makes anyone look good, and the mods you did are GREAT!

In always felt that the G1 Design team was basically making a "Star Wars Combiner" (with maybe Tron Cycle for good measure) so this is really great seeing a full-on SW inspired version of Computron!
