Billboard has issued a press release reporting new entries and noteworthy movers on this week's Billboard 200 chart. For those not familiar with the Billboard 200 chart, it is a list of the top selling albums in the US for the previous week. The soundtrack to Transformers - released on July 3rd - came in at #21 with 32,000 copies sold (#1 album this week sold 468,000 copies)

I was pretty impressed with a lot of the songs playing during the credits, especially when I heard disturbed. Still need to pick this up, but great news for the movie.

I love how a third of the songs aren't even in the film. I would have loved to have had the orchestral music on this CD. Other than that there's only a couple of songs worth listening to.

    It was a mixed bag.
I really enjoyed most of the tracks, except 8 (not into hip hop) and 12 (I'm sorry, but that Mutemouth TF theme sucks).

Yeah, I'm far more interested in a CD of the score. The songs fit the film well, but nothing that I'd want to buy. I thought the orchestral score was amazing, however.

    The cd is terrible.
I'd ask for my $14 back... but when's the next time our Transformers are going to be marketed like they're Star Wars?

The music is bad, and I thought was generally poorly used during the film, where it was used at all. This CD is really about the same caliber as the human cast of he film, so I suppose it fits...but seriously, BAD CD.

At least it isn't Stan Bush.

Can't see the score (presuming it gets released) out-selling this CD, even though it is better. I don't know about other countries, but UK high street stores rarely stock purely orchestral film soundtracks, while the ones with the crappy songs seem to turn up everywhere.

Both the Pumpkins and Disturbed songs rocked and totally added to the excitement of their respective scenes.

However, two songs is not enough to get me to buy the soundtrack.

TOTALLY agree. I'll pick that up as soon as that is released. (That is, if it will be released...)

Yeah, seriously, we need a score CD. The Soundtrack is all well and good, but I want the music I can't get anywhere else.

Same here---like 1 or 2 songs from the soundtrack but the rest suck. What I really want is the score.

i thought they were all pretty good songs. but thats because i'm probably the youngest one in here; armor for sleep's end of the world is an awesome song, but it wasnt in the movie. the only song i didnt really like was the theme song.

Plus if your gonna put songs that aren't in the movie, at least make them songs TFormers fans will like. Like the Stan Bush songs or Gnarles Barkleys Transformer.

Gnarls Barkley's song wasn't even about the Transformers.

I admit it...I bought the soundtrack...because I love that stupid Linkin Park song.

    What's wrong with me?
