Okay, let's try this again - just my luck the site goes down two seconds before I click 'submit'.

A few bits of TF pencils from 2007. Just lumped them all in together rather than give them their own individual threads. The Classics ones are copied from their toys. Also added a random concept idea for Laserbeak:

I like that Laserbeak too. I could also see it turning into a turret mode that mounts on the bed of the truck, turning it into a technical.

Those are awesome though Jazz has seen better days, well I guess he got off easier than he did in the bay movie.

You did these?! Those look great, especially the Bumblebee, Megatron and Cliffjumper ones.

    Awesome work!

    Thankees, all. :)

The Laserbeak was me wondering (optimistically over-Geewun, I guess) kinda what he'd be like in a BayFormers movie. I think it was when those concepts of Soundwave as a vehicle first cropped up for RotF along with suggestions of a satellite mode too, so I tried to give Beaky modes that would work with Soundwave's. I knocked it up with a pen without pencilling it first so it turned out better than I expected. Way off base in the end, obviously, but I really like what Laserbeak was in DotM so I'm not sore about it.

And I just noticed that my Cliffjumper and Grimlock have almost the same pose going on. Embarrassment!

I've got some inked comic strips somewhere that I did in a similar kinda style as those pencils for someone's fanzine. If I can dredge them out I'll post them up at some point.

Most kind. But I dunno how to teach. Everyone has their own method. And my quality varies greatly depending on my mood. I usually just follow the general rule of 'shapes and energy'. Work out your shapes and make sure the image, especially characters, has energy or life. I often see great technical artwork but it seems to lack soul. My pal can do awesome comics with loads of great detail, but it all seems to lack a spark of life. He's been useful for backgrounds though.
