I hate non-transforming Transformers. I feel that Transformers are supposed to Transform. Who's for it, and who's against it and why?

I'm fine with non-transforming robots, so long as that means more articulation.

I don't care for non-transforming vehicles, but I don't hate them or anything. I just don't buy them.

They're toys. The mainline features transforming toys sure, but its big enough to support smaller gimmicky lines that don't transform.

All major toylines have small Robot Heroes style figures now. RPMs and Stealth Force, well they're just regular car toys Hasbro wanted to put out but was brought over to the Transformers name for the added popularity of the brand. I believe that the designers of RPMs and Stealth Force are completely seperate to the main Transformers designers.

If you dont like non-transforming Transformers dont buy them. Problem solved.

Personally I think there's room for both. I love Transformers and there is no denying that much of that love comes from the fact they Transform. However I also love other non transforming action figures including my Revoltech Convoy, Megatron, Starcream and Hot Rodimus. They are as super posable and detailed as you are ever likely to get those characters, something that would not be possible if they transformed also.

Stealth Force stuff basically came out years ago by Hot Wheels. SF Bumblebee is mechanically a straight copy of the aircraft Shogun Racer I have.

I think the design company of the original toy have simply peddled their wares to Hasbro after the films, and Hasbro have used their designs.

    Look here!

The Speed Stars and Stealth Force aren't replacing anything. They are out there along with at least 3 different sublines on the shelves right now. We have more than we've ever asked for at the moment. With so much variety, everyone can pick up something that pleases them.

The stealth force stuff stuff reminds me a lot of the Starcom stuff from the 80's where you pushed a button and wepons popped out as well.

I think some of them, like optimus, are really cool however that doesn't mean I will buy any.

Its actually possible. The formula is this:

    Transformation
    Articulation
    Cheap

    You pick two.

Very very interesing... For the record, I hated Action Masters. As a little kid I felt jipped. Especially after getting my Mega Pretenders shortly before the move to Action Masters. Though I must admit I did see the move to non-transformations during the introductions of Pretenders.

I stay away from the speedstars and stealth toys. I thought the gravity bots were much better but too bad they were expensive

I'm okay with toys for non TF characters, the Quintessons are one example, and I've got the humans from TFA as well.

I don't go for things like Action Masters, or the Revoltech releases of TFs though. I buy TFs because I want to transform them, not because I want to have fun posing them dynamically.
