Im creating a short Transformers based film for my final year at university

The story : generally its going to be a chase between Horch the autobot (2004 Audi Allroad) and Disorder a freerunning pretender (kinda like the lass from the second transformers movie only cooler). Its going to be live action and im going to try my best at integrating my transformer so it looks realistic. I had included a quick composite of Horch to give an idea of what it will look like, though when im done it will look a lot better.

    feedback would be very welcome

    cheers, Finn

Sounds cool, I assume you have a Audi to do some real driving/stunts. That would be cool to see, the last TF movie could have used longer chase scenes.
Good luck to you, fan films can be really fun to watch.

Some suggestions, don't try to over do the CG. Maybe 50/50 car to robot but I don't know what your class requirements are, I'm guessing you are a 3d student? Also watch some other Fan movies to see what works and what doesn't.
There are some very good Star Wars fan movies ( and no not SW kid,lol ).

How is the Pretender going to run from the car, getting a motor bike or just running real fast?

    thanks for the comment

Yea ive got a real audi to drive around, its actually my dads car which is why i decided to use it, and yea i am an animation student.

As regards the cgi the car should be around 50/50 but im going to map some robot eyes onto the guy whose playing the runner and that'll be throughout.

Im hopefully going to be utilising the actors freerunning skills to evade the robot for the video making it quite visually enjoyable to watch.

OK, so the Pretender is a guy. I'm sure you are aware to not make it seem to Terminator like, but I like the male Pretender idea better than the one in TF2.

I can see a car/foot chase scene working well if there are lots of alley ways and obstructions to the car, it could be really cool visually with angles changing as the guy cuts quickly to just dodge the car. Just don't bang up dad's car, lol!

    Very cool, Keep us posted!
