Would love it to be Human Alliance Soundwave. We saw Alternators as SDCC Exclusives more than once and they know it would be an incredibly popular exclusive.

The unreleased DOTM deluxes I think will eventually make it out into a retail line. I have a feeling that the HA line is done at retail so this would be an easy way to get Soundwave out to the fans.

 

-FOC Bruticus(in standard release colors), but packaged in a "G1-esque" Giftset box.

-Some upcoming RID Prime mold(the next Optimus or Megatron revealer/powerizer update) in some elaborate packaging and/or with a 'premium' paint job.

 

Will Bruticus even be out by SDCC? I thought the new Gen figures were for the fall...

This year - War of the Scourges. Battle damaged Generations Scourge VS undamaged RTS Prime as RID Scourge.

Next year - Fall of Cybertron Ruination. Or possibly FoC Urban Camo Bruticus.

Pretty sure you're right. I'd imagine they'd tie in with the game's release.

Anyhoo, I do like the Scourge idea (even though I would normally be vehemently against making such a release an exclusive, it seems almost tradition for it to be an SDCC exclusive).

Also the HA Soundwave idea is a good one, though I don't know if it would be acceptable giving licensing issues with paramount.

I would like a G1 reissue of some sort, since it seems like SDCC is the only way we're getting those domestically at all. Maybe a three-pack of the original Dinobots, possibly in Diaclone colors? It would appeal to TF fans, it would appeal to those who only tangentially remember G1 (Grimlock is pretty memorable, even to non-fans), and it would tie-into Fall of Cybertron which will be coming out a few months later. Similarly, I like the idea of a Bruticus reissue, make it easy for people to put the FoC side-by-side with the original.

But either way... that's part of the point! "First/Early release!" "With elaborate packaging!"

Last year's Prime Prime deluxe exclusive was the first release of that mold.

And I forget the exact timing, but last year's DOTM ultimate Optimus Prime exclusive was close to the first time that mold was available in the US as well. (Did the retail version show up on shelves before SDCC?)

G1 Bruticus is a cool idea, but G1 Dinobots... I think the only G1 reissues that could be seriously considered for SDCC exclusives are those with molds ready to be used... ie... something Takara/Tomy has already reissued.
