Forgot about that. I remember the time Cheetor and Blackarchnia were taking care of those...humans? That's why I though they were similar sizes to G1.

Now that I think about it...

It's kind of funny that, in a sense, Power of the Primes has enlarged Optimus Primal.

I found these scale charts, although it does not have numbers but I also found in another topic in this forum a person who said that the size of Megatron is 35 feet from the an Japanese scale chart.

Those are interesting, and I could be wrong, but I don't remember Bulkhead and Lugnut being taller than Megatron.

Ya know for the longest time I thought that Optimus looks taller that starscream. That is until I saw the studio series starscream. So I looked on the transformers 2 scale and starscream is like 3 feet taller than optimus

400 ft works if it's stuff like the world's largest dump truck, front loader, excavator, etc. LOL

    Well, actually....

As impressive as this is, it's "only" 67' in length -- a perfect match with Movie Devastator, but nowhere near enough for IDW.

Oh, by itself? Absolutely not! But, you could move and fold that thing and get a 65'-ish lower leg, and then add in other heavy equipment (world's largest dump truck is roughly the same size), that's a waist that's about 120' feet. If we assume, like the toys, that random parts magically appear to make Devastator, I think you could sell the six or more Constructicons making a 400', if you squint. Or just add more 'bots. How many Constructicons have there been, total? I think more than a dozen?

Or just throw in Baggar 293. That should do the trick. LOL

Sorry if this thread is too old for resurrection, but how certain are you on IDW optimus’ height? Just asking as I’m currently working on the flametoys model of him and I’d like to track down a gundam and macross at the same scale. Up until this point I’ve been opporating under the assumption that it’s 1/60, but your listed height puts it at around 1/72 (this would actually make him 36.6 feet in bot mode, but close enough). This actually makes some sense, as the scale flametoys originally gave was 1/144 (obviously incorrect as this would make him the size of a gundam), which is double 1/72. This would however make tracking down an in scale gundam well...pretty much impossible.

IDW Optimus was referred to as 60 feet in Transformers #51 I believe but that was in a commentary page or something. But then the official Hasbro Heroes guide books confirm Optimus has an official height of 38' and weight of 24 tons. This is repeated in a limited card series released with contemporary some toys I believe.

I'll be honest, just be glad scale doesn't affect the Transformers in many universes.
If it did, we'd get things like this.

Is it possible if you could add in Megatron 2.0 to that chart you made? He's definitely taller than Optimus 2.0.

I've also attached a few images, just so you see how much bigger Megatron 2.0 is.

I wish car bots in TFP are a bit smaller, 16/18' (20' max)

The scene where both Starscream and Bulkhead are trapped on that energon mine when he is teasing Bulk about Killing Miko i think, Now for Shockwave and Starscream its the scene on the Movie Transformers predacon Rising where Unicron Megatron "revives" the predacons.

i mean, starscream's an F14 so really he should be bigger than the entire cast of prime except airachnid. which is what scale actually is...

I always liked how the early IDW books drawn by EJ Su kept the vehicle modes in scale. I always liked the scene where Hardhead is on the tundra with Prowl in vehicle modes and he's a small Cybertronian tank.

Given G1 Chromedome was a car and all the Nebulans were the same height, I always felt Hardhead should be a small tank. Similarly that Brainstorm and Highbrow were small aircraft.
