An old lady was selling a box of G1s for $100, there were tonnes in there including complete Trypticon, Metroplex, Devestator, Menasor, Prime... the list goes on. I only had 50 on me, so I got half the box, but for some reason didn't load up on the expensive guys...
When I had the rest of the money the Tfs had sold.

 

What you Regret the most

As the title says what is the thing you regret the most related to Transformers. For me it was when I was really low on cash and was force to sell my Unicron toy for 200 dollars. Just wanted to know if anyone has had something they regret.

 

I regret getting (70+) g1 figures stolen by my cousin.

He's a Boisterous asshole anyway, his time will come.

 

Yeah that it, just remember doesn't have to be about toys only, any regret related to Transformers. Like how my cousin regrets not seeing Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen.

 

When I changed some toys with a "friend" in school... I had some cool toy from him, but then I wanted to get my toy back, but he was not willing to change the toy back for the same toy he gave me...  

I gave Nightbeat for getting my Override back. But later I wanted to get Nightbeat back as well  

I never changed toys again.

 

Buying Masterpiece Megatron.

In many ways the engineering of the piece is remarkable but the balance problems caused by the oversized fusion cannon and the general fragile feel of it for me far outweigh any of the positives.

I know Takara would have got flak for it but I think it would have worked better had they made it a non transforming toy with a small diecast version of his gun mode as that way the robot mode could have been a lot more solid in it's construction and more cartoon accurate as well.

 

Giving away all my old toys. Gave them all to my little cousins, way back in the day. Later in life, I had to purchase all the tf's, that I have given away.

my second biggest regret is spending far too much on ebay for some of the the worst figures in my collection (seriously, my g1 soundwave is absolutely shocking :|) and regularly pussying out on the price of things i really want, and i know i'll regret not being a bit more flash with the cash to secure.

i've got a couple on the go at the moment. we shall see.

 

Not getting into kitbashing much sooner. Because of this, i'm just like Mechafire, i see many old toys that would be great, but can't afford the overpriced shipping charges.

 

I just bought Energon Unicron MISB for $43...

I regret ever intentionally destroying/accidentally breaking/shooting with a B. B. gun/burying in a ditch/running over with the lawn mower any and all of my G1 Transformers. I would have a lot more than I do today if I hadn't of done those things. Bad me.

My biggest regret is losing interest in Transformers during RID and missing out on Classics and Universe

 

that i was unable to buy more g1 transformers when i was a kid and they were at retail especially the gift sets of combiners

 

Canceling the UK G1 comic at issue #300, and then everything there on became hard to find.
Buying all the Energon range in Japanese packaging the first week of release, that was expensive. Should have waited, but c'est la vie, lesson learned.
Letting 2 people look at / play with different G1 Megatrons and them breaking both of them in exactly the same place, but 12 years apart.

 

A big regret is not watching Beast Machines when it was on TV. I don't know why, probably because that was the year Phantom Menace came out and I was all "YEAH STAR WARS! WOOOO!"

And then listening to the boards and getting it in my head that the show sucked. So up until the DVD came out I thought it was such a horrible show.

Then I bought the DVD and was like "wow.... I'm never listening to the Internet ever again, because they always have different opinions from me"
