It's only the comic I've been waiting twenty-one years for.

Agreed. I love RiD and MtMtE but this will be something special to me. I grew up with G1 and loved it and hunted it before I ever bought any other comics. I am content to read those spectacular books digitally. RG1 I must own a physical copy of to go with my complete G1 US comic collection.

The Marvel Comic was the G1 of my childhood to a large extent. It's like seeing the G1 Cartoon continued as an OVA with all the living original voice actors back. It can not be missed.

-ZacWilliam, it's honestly not something I ever thought we'd see. I'm hoping for at least a few minutes with brooding bad@ss Blaster and conflicted, determined Fort Max myself...

This isn't a title I have much interest in. With two well-written ongoings, it seems like a huge step backwards to read a comic written by Furman. But I'm glad his fans will enjoy it. :)

Nostalgia is the reason I'm still into Transformers at all. So this is of course a must-have. :)

We're close to one TF comic a week, and it's pretty much all good. It is the golden age of Transformers comics.

Great news for G1 comics fans. As for me I stopped buying them with #50. I got sick of all the Nebulon/Galen/Pretenders crap.

    Love Nebulos, Galen and Pretenders!

Also think issues 51 to 80 were some of the best of the whole series.

    -ZacWilliam, to each their own.

"Some"? #56-80 were ALL of the best of the whole series, if you ask me.

I actually feel Furman's initial start on the US comics was pretty wonky. It got better, but even then there were some stinkers ("Human Factor").

And there were plenty of good issues before him... "Return to Cybertron", "New Order" etc.

Yeah, I love 56-80 definately. But I also love Ratchet and the Dinobots vs Megatron. Return to Cybertron. And the Scraplet story. And the Headmasters miniseries. And even the Underbase saga.

-ZacWilliam, not to mention the uk exclusive stories.

Was Target 2006 ever printed in the U.S. run?

Nope. Only UK story that was printed in the regular US run was "Man of Iron"

ZacWilliam, that was enough to tease all us US fans with the amazing stories we weren't getting to read for years though.

I'm excited for this, but Furman left the TF comic hanging with plots from the US and UK series, which of these would you want to see again? (If any?)

    Personally I want to see...

    i) The outcome of Nucleon. Grimlock can no longer transform, but 'what if' he undergoes another cryselis stage and emerges as Classics Grimlock? Hell, there can be tensions between transforming Autobots and Action Master Autobots!

ii) Slag, in the UK annuals there's a story where Slag gets progressivly more feral and his condition is hidden by the other Dinobots, I want to see this explored!

iii) I'd like some sort of resolvement between UK and US G1 continuities, (without the whole 'alternate dimensions' of Armada/RID/Movieverse creeping in) so we can see Rodimus Prime porperly installed into comics continuity.

There's more floating around but thats all I got for now.
