In episode 11. of season4 in Venture Bros, there was a funny TF cameo...

After all the world's top scientists are kidnapped by Zeus, Dr.(Rusty) Venture feels very bad for being NOT kidnapped, considering himself the "grail" of such a collection. Well, to make their dad feel better, Hank and Dean as well as Sergeant Hatred decide to fake a kidnapping of their own dad... :)

And, Hatred wears THIS helmet to mask his voice and face! :)

He does not sound like ROTF Prime much, though. Must be a KO helmet...

Moved. Transformers pop culture references are not news.

Well, I guess they've referenced just about everything else on that show...

Not to mention they've had a TF reference since season 2 in the form of Truckules.

    Ahh, I caught that!

Right before that episode aired, Adult Swim mentioned they indeed did wear a Prime voice-changer helmet and a Hulk voice-changer mask while recording those scenes. They even showed the two voice actors wearing the masks.

^ Correct. Obviously they had to overmodulate the voices though because if they had used Cullen and whoever the Hulk was, there would have been usage right issues.

Just shows what geeks Doc and Jackson are.

The helmet is worn by Sgt Hatred a character who is a known pedophile. Just so funny after all that crazy mess with the Transformers movies raped people's childhood.

Oi! Recovering pedophile. Keep your facts straight, man!

Someone pointed out on another board that the only thing the episode needed to make the cornucopia of references complete would be to have General Treister drinking Ecto-Cooler instead of FROOT PAUNCH (as he was TIR-STAY, and it was DELICIOUS). Cheers to Jackson and Doc either way for being huge nerds like us.

If you don't watch The Venture Bros, I just feel sorry for you. The best show on TV, live action or animated. Each episode is so unforgivably dense, you can rewatch the shows multiple times and still not catch all the subtle character jokes, sight gags, audio cues, puns, and plot references.

The show is in loose continuity with Johnny Quest, Hell they killed Race Bannon, the REAL Race Bannon in the first season! Johnny Quest is a washed up junkie. There is the "Impossible" Family, who are basically the Fantastic Four... god the show is dense with so many million characters.

Tack on the very best cast ever assembled to perform those characters...

If you like 70s and 80s cartoons, this show is essentially the grown up version. the boy adventurer becomes a failed super scientist and tries to raise his boys to be more successful than he was, all while being terrorized by supervillains and former colleagues.

Looks more like Matt Tracker's mask from M.A.S.K.

I believe the bumper said they just straight-up used the helmets to make the voices. I can't speak for the Hulk mask, but the Prime mask does not use Peter Cullen's voice to modify the wearer's voice. He only provided the voice for the Prime sound bites in the helmet, and they were not used in the episode.
